Alfa Romeo has released another teaser for its upcoming concept car, offering a brief glimpse of a low-slung, coupe-like vehicle that suggests a performance-focused design. The automaker has revealed few details so far, but several names and phrases featured in the teaser could offer clues about what is coming next.
Alfa Romeo Teases Its Next Concept
The latest teaser follows one released about a week earlier and continues the buildup to the upcoming concept. This time, Alfa Romeo showed part of a sports car with a low, coupe-like profile, potentially pointing toward a performance-oriented concept.
The brand also accompanied the teaser with a series of names and words, writing, “Every name begins with a thousand possibilities.” The list included Future, Could, The First Step, DNA, Italia, Heartbeat, and Visceral.
Other names included the Italian phrases Battito Rosso, Cuore Sportivo, and Battito Veloce, which roughly translate to themes of passion, performance, and sportiness. The teaser also mentioned “Leonardo,” potentially referring to Leonardo da Vinci, the Italian polymath behind the iconic Mona Lisa.
Could the Concept Signal Alfa Romeo’s Next Move?
It remains unclear whether the names featured in the teaser are candidates for the upcoming car or simply words being used to describe it. The concept could potentially influence future Alfa Romeo models, particularly as the brand’s Giulia and Stelvio performance cars continue to age.
The successors to the Giulia and Stelvio have been delayed, with reports pointing to around 2028. Rather than going all-electric, Alfa Romeo plans to use flexible platforms capable of accommodating multiple powertrains.
That makes the upcoming concept potentially significant for a brand looking for a fresh direction. However, Alfa Romeo has not confirmed whether the teaser directly previews a future production model.
Alfa Romeo Faces Challenges in the U.S.
Alfa Romeo also has issues to address in the U.S. The automaker sold only 1,747 units in the country during the first half of this year, a 45% dip compared with the same period in 2025.
The Tonale, which was intended to serve as a volume seller, did not resonate with American buyers and is set to be discontinued in North America after the 2026 model year.
Paris Motor Show Could Reveal More
Despite the limited information available, the new concept could offer Alfa Romeo an opportunity to introduce a fresh direction for the brand. At the same time, the blurred sports car shown in the latest teaser may actually be the 33 Stradale rather than the new concept itself.
The remaining questions are expected to be answered at the Paris Motor Show, which runs from October 12 to 18, when Alfa Romeo is set to reveal more about its upcoming concept.
