The 2026 Lancia Gamma is set to mark a major milestone for the Italian automaker, combining an electrified powertrain lineup, fastback styling and a premium interior as the brand prepares for the Paris Motor Show on October 12, 2026. The revived nameplate will return as Lancia’s first-ever SUV under Stellantis’ revival plan, with the range-topping Gamma HF Integrale delivering up to 375 horsepower and all-wheel drive.
The new Gamma also arrives during a significant year for Lancia, which will celebrate its 120th anniversary in November 2026. The launch coincides with the 50th anniversary of the original Gamma, first introduced in 1976. Design, development and manufacturing of the new model have been assigned to Lancia’s Melfi plant in Italy.
2026 Lancia Gamma: Powertrain Options and Range
Lancia has outlined a lineup featuring hybrid and fully electric powertrains, with three trim levels: LS, LX and HF Integrale. The available configurations offer different combinations of power, driving range and drivetrain layouts.
The hybrid version produces 145 horsepower and offers up to 620 miles of range. The fully electric lineup includes a base two-wheel-drive version with 230 horsepower and 335 miles of range, a mid-tier two-wheel-drive model with 240 horsepower and 460 miles of range, and a top-tier all-wheel-drive variant with 375 horsepower and 420 miles of range.
The Gamma will use Stellantis’ STLA Medium multi-energy platform, which supports the model’s electrified powertrain options.
Fastback Styling Sets the Gamma Apart
The Gamma adopts a design language that shares similarities with the Lancia Ypsilon. Its front end features a distinctive LED light bar, while a T-shaped LED light bar defines the rear. The roofline slopes into a fastback profile, giving the SUV a sporty appearance.
Lancia identifies the fastback design as one of the six key ingredients behind the Gamma. The automaker also highlights its aerodynamic efficiency, interior space, features, everyday usability and the return of the HF Integrale nameplate as central elements of the vehicle’s identity.
The Gamma has a claimed drag coefficient of 0.25, which Lancia describes as the best in its class. The company also points to low energy consumption figures as part of its efficiency-focused approach.
Italian-Inspired Interior and Technology
The Gamma’s cabin follows Lancia’s concept of an “Architecture of a Contemporary Italian Living Room,” with an emphasis on Italian design, comfort and a welcoming atmosphere. The interior is organized into three sections: a technology zone, a wrap-around band and a functional central tunnel.
Lancia’s coffee-table-inspired design is complemented by Lancia Glow ambient lighting and the SALA HUB software package. The dashboard features a dual-display arrangement, with a 10-inch screen and a 16-inch display for the central infotainment system and driver interface.
The Gamma will also offer Relax, Energize and Entertainment modes, along with natural voice recognition powered by SALA HUB. Level 2 autonomous driving features will be available through the SALA PRO System.
For passengers, Lancia says the rear seats provide 25% more legroom, although the company has not specified the basis for that comparison. Luggage capacity reaches up to 16.44 cubic feet with all seats in place.
Gamma HF Integrale Returns With 375 Horsepower
The Gamma HF Integrale represents the most powerful version planned for the new SUV. The trim revives the HF Integrale designation after a 30-year absence, drawing on a name made famous by the Lancia Delta.
The all-wheel-drive model uses dual motors and produces 375 horsepower when the battery charge is at 90%. Output drops to 350 horsepower when the charge falls below that level. Lancia says the vehicle can accelerate from zero to 62 mph in 5.1 seconds.
Adaptive suspension comes standard on the HF Integrale, along with 21-inch forged wheels. The configuration delivers a claimed range of 420 miles, combining the model’s highest power output with all-wheel-drive traction.
Lancia says the HF Integrale is intended to bring together performance, composure and refinement, qualities the brand associates with its vehicles.
Efficiency, Emissions and Sustainable Materials
Beyond its headline power and range figures, the Gamma features a claimed rolling resistance of 9.4 pounds per U.S. short ton. Lancia links this figure to the long-range, two-wheel-drive electric version’s stated range of up to 460 miles.
The hybrid model emits 193.12 grams of carbon dioxide per mile, according to the automaker. The figure is part of the model’s stated efficiency specifications.
Lancia also says more than 60% of the Gamma’s interior materials come from sustainable sources. That accounts for more than 1,322 pounds of sustainable material in every vehicle.
To support its range claims, the company says it has conducted extensive testing covering close to 450,000 miles, or 720,000 kilometers.
A New Chapter for the Lancia Gamma
The 2026 Lancia Gamma combines a revived nameplate with a new SUV format, electrified powertrains and a premium-focused interior. With hybrid and electric versions, three trim levels and the 375-horsepower HF Integrale at the top of the range, the model is a central part of Lancia’s revival plan ahead of the 2026 Paris Motor Show.
