Range Rover is showcasing the potential of its bespoke personalization program with the new Range Rover SV Pearl Luster, a one-off commission created for Monterey Car Week in California. The unique luxury SUV highlights the brand’s approach to highly personalized vehicles while also supporting a charitable cause.
A One-Off Range Rover With a Charitable Mission
The Range Rover SV Pearl Luster follows the SV Asilomar Edition, another bespoke commission that debuted during Monterey Car Week last year and sold to a U.S. customer for about $550,000.
Range Rover has not disclosed the price of the Pearl Luster. However, the proceeds from its sale will include a monetary donation to the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, which protects California’s coastal marine life and ecosystems.
The vehicle is also intended to demonstrate what Range Rover’s bespoke program, which launched in 2023, can offer customers seeking an even greater level of personalization.
Inspired by California’s White Abalone Pearl
The Range Rover SV Pearl Luster takes a dramatically different approach from the Range Rover SV Black. Its exterior is finished in Bespoke White Pearl Gloss, inspired by what Range Rover describes as the natural beauty of White Abalone Pearl found along California’s rugged coastline.
The one-off SUV also features 23-inch bespoke wheels with machined spokes, linear surface engraving and gold-toned accents that complement the exterior design.
A Highly Personalized Long-Wheelbase Interior
Inside, the long-wheelbase Range Rover SV Pearl Luster features Orchid leather and Mother of Pearl detailing. Natural Light Linear Wenge veneer is paired with Natural White Mother of Pearl inlays, while bespoke embroidery adds another layer of personalization.
The cabin also includes the SV Signature Suite and interior accents featuring a new Range Rover Motif designed to emphasize the vehicle’s one-off character.
Powertrain Details Were Not Revealed
Range Rover did not provide powertrain details for the Pearl Luster. The standard Range Rover SV uses a 4.4-liter P615 twin-turbo V8 producing 606 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque.
Price Could Exceed $248,000
Although Range Rover has not announced a price for the one-off commission, the Pearl Luster should command a significant premium over the long-wheelbase Range Rover SV, which starts at approximately $248,150.
Guests visiting Range Rover House Pebble Beach will be the first to express interest in purchasing the unique SUV.
Bespoke Models Could Become More Important
The Pearl Luster arrives as JLR faces broader volume pressures. Retail sales fell 15.3% year over year in the first quarter of fiscal 2027, while wholesales declined 9.2%.
With one-off commissions offering an opportunity for higher-margin sales, Range Rover could expand its bespoke offerings as it seeks to strengthen profitability and compete with established ultra-luxury brands such as Rolls-Royce and Bentley.
