The 2027 Nissan Sentra remains below the $23,000 mark on paper, with a starting price of $22,890 before destination and handling. Nissan has also made several updates for the new model year, including revised transmission tuning, more responsive gas-pedal inputs and a new Midnight Edition for the Sentra SR.
2027 Nissan Sentra Pricing
The 2027 Sentra’s base price increases by $290 compared with the 2026 model. Nissan lists the destination and handling charge at $1,245, bringing the actual starting price to $24,135.
The lineup continues with four trims: the Sentra S, SV, SR and SL. Pricing, excluding destination and handling, is as follows:
- 2027 Nissan Sentra S: $22,890
- 2027 Nissan Sentra SV: $23,590
- 2027 Nissan Sentra SR: $24,990
- 2027 Nissan Sentra SL: $27,990
The $1,245 destination and handling charge remains unchanged from the previous year.
Sentra SR Gets Midnight Edition
For 2027, Nissan is giving the Sentra SR access to a new Midnight Edition package. The $650 package adds black window trim, gloss-black 18-inch wheels, a Super Black two-tone roof and special badging.
Super Black and Gun Metallic are the only free paint finishes available on the Sentra SR. Other exterior colors cost between $450 and $950, allowing buyers to further customize the appearance of the Midnight Edition.
New Wireless Charging Option
Another notable addition for 2027 is Qi2 wireless charging. The feature is not available on the base Sentra S, but it can be added to the SV through the Convenience Package.
The $990 Convenience Package also includes heated front seats, a heated leatherette-wrapped steering wheel, heated wing mirrors with LED turn signals, proximity entry and locking, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
On the SR and SL trims, similar equipment, including wireless charging, comes standard.
2027 Nissan Sentra Powertrain
The 2027 Sentra continues with a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine producing 149 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque.
Nissan says it has revised the Xtronic continuously variable transmission’s acceleration curve to make it more linear. The gas pedal has also been tuned to provide more responsive inputs.
The changes do not transform the Sentra into a performance car, but they are intended to improve the driving experience while maintaining the model’s comfortable ride.
Fuel Economy Remains a Strength
The Sentra can achieve up to 38 mpg on the freeway, adding fuel efficiency to its list of strengths.
The combination of the updated powertrain tuning, additional features and relatively modest price increase makes the 2027 model a stronger version of the Sentra while keeping its starting price below $23,000 before destination and handling.
Overall, the 2027 Nissan Sentra represents a $290 increase over the 2026 model while adding powertrain refinements, new equipment and the Midnight Edition option for the SR.
