The 2027 Lincoln Corsair will return with another facelift for the U.S. market, but the updated compact crossover will cost about $7,300 more than its predecessor. U.S.-bound Corsair models will be imported from China after Ford ended U.S. production of the Corsair and its mainstream counterpart, the Ford Escape.
Why the 2027 Corsair Costs More
One likely factor behind the price increase is the tariffs imposed on China-built vehicles. The higher price is notable because Ford plans to begin phasing out U.S. imports of China-built Lincolns in 2030.
General Motors is taking a similar approach with the Buick Envision. Its next generation will be produced at GM’s Kansas plant beginning in 2028 after nearly a decade of imports from China.
That makes price an important consideration for buyers looking at the 2027 Corsair, although Lincoln has also made several changes to the vehicle.
2027 Lincoln Corsair Powertrain and Design
The 2027 Corsair will come standard with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid powertrain producing a combined 305 horsepower.
The outgoing Corsair was available with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, but the new hybrid system cannot be plugged in and does not provide an electric-only driving range.
On the exterior, the 2027 Corsair receives slimmer headlights designed to bring the crossover in line with the rest of Lincoln’s lineup. The full-width rear light bar remains, while its outer sections now sweep downward into the corners.
Lincoln will also offer new wheel designs in 18-, 19-, and 20-inch sizes, along with five new exterior colors.
Updated Corsair Interior
The interior remains familiar compared with the outgoing model, but Lincoln has added several updates. These include a new Stellar Sun theme, a softer one-piece seat design and a standard hands-free highway driving system.
On the Reserve trim, available front seats feature 24-way power adjustment, Active Motion massage, heating and ventilation.
2027 Lincoln Corsair Price and Release Date
The 2027 Corsair will start at $46,495, excluding destination charges, for the Premiere trim. The top-spec Reserve will start at $53,495.
The 2027 Corsair is scheduled to arrive in early 2027.
Ford Escape Expected to Return as an EV
The Ford Escape, the Corsair’s mainstream counterpart, will reportedly return as an all-electric model. It is expected to use the Blue Oval’s Universal EV Platform, the same architecture that will underpin the Fathom electric pickup, and could debut in 2029.
