Porsche has introduced the Porsche GT3 Bergsport, a limited-edition 911 GT3 designed as an Alpine-focused special model. Limited to 100 units, the car will be available exclusively to customers in Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland, and combines a new Paint to Sample Plus color with the Lightweight Package and a six-speed manual gearbox.

Porsche GT3 Bergsport Gets a Distinctive Alpine Look

The Porsche GT3 Bergsport is based on the 911 GT3 with the Touring Package, giving it a more understated appearance without a rear wing. Its new Valleygreenmetallic paint, created through Porsche’s Paint to Sample Plus program, blends green and earthy tones inspired by the Alpine landscapes.

In direct sunlight, gold metallic flakes give the finish additional depth. Porsche says the sparkling effect references the appearance of fresh Alpine snow.

The car’s exterior also features orange brake calipers and forged aluminum wheels finished in satin White Gold and Ceramica. The wheel design and colors are inspired by the sun rising or setting behind Alpine peaks.

Although the GT3 Bergsport comes with the Lightweight Package, Porsche chose aluminum wheels instead of the usual magnesium wheels. The decision was made because aluminum can better withstand bumps and road rash, supporting regular use on Alpine passes that can have imperfect road surfaces.

Exclusive Exterior Details

The Porsche GT3 Bergsport receives several additional details that distinguish it from the standard GT3 Touring Package. These include tinted headlights and a checkered flag motif on the frunk lid, inspired by the 909 Bergspyder hillclimb car.

GT3 Bergsport badges appear on the B-pillars and match the wheels. The engine cover carries a circular Alpine emblem featuring four peaks, referencing the four Alpine countries where the car will be offered.

The special-edition 911 also comes exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox. Porsche’s Exclusive Manufaktur department completes the package with leather goods and a scale model.

Porsche GT3 Bergsport Interior

Inside, Porsche carries the Valleygreen theme into a bespoke leather color. Orange stitching contrasts with the leather, while GT3 embroidery appears on the headrests of the folding carbon bucket seats included with the “Leichtbau” package.

Unlike some lightweight-focused configurations, the Bergsport retains rear seats. They are intended for children, as the rear seating is too limited for adults.

Orange accents continue throughout the cabin, appearing on the steering wheel’s noon marker, the shift pattern on the manual gear lever and the start switch. GT3 variants continue to use the turning switch rather than the start button found in other 911s.

The Sport Chrono Package adds another orange detail to the clock positioned in the center of the dashboard. The dashboard itself uses alternating black and white stitching as a reference to mountain peaks.

More Equipment and Matching Accessories

The GT3 Bergsport also includes a Light Design Package with additional ambient lighting and a Bose Surround Sound System. The center console lid features an embossed design that repeats the Alpine emblem found on the engine cover.

The same color theme extends to smaller items supplied with the car, including the key, leather pouch and documentation wallet.

Porsche Lifestyle is also offering a collection of products inspired by the GT3 Bergsport. The range includes 1:43- and 1:18-scale models, hats, travel mugs, key rings and hoodies.

Even skis are available, while 1,000 copies of a special-edition issue of Curves Magazine will be released.

A 100-Unit Alpine Special Edition

With just 100 examples planned for customers in Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland, the Porsche GT3 Bergsport combines the Touring Package, Lightweight Package, manual transmission and exclusive Alpine-inspired design details.

The special edition also arrives as Porsche continues to offer a highly personalized package around the naturally aspirated GT3, including bespoke colors, interior treatments, accessories and matching lifestyle products.
