A camouflaged Lamborghini Revuelto has been photographed for the first time, suggesting the V12-powered supercar could already be preparing for a facelift. The images appear to reveal changes to the front bumper, headlights, side bodywork and rear diffuser, despite the Revuelto having only arrived for the 2024 model year.
Lamborghini Keeps the V12 Alive
Lamborghini continues to preserve the V12 engine at a time when many performance cars are moving toward turbocharged engines and fewer cylinders. While the Huracan lost two cylinders in its transition to the Temerario, the move from the Aventador to the Revuelto retained the 12-cylinder configuration.
The Revuelto’s V12 has been hybridized, but Lamborghini avoided taking a simpler downsizing route. The model also continues the tradition established by its predecessors, which have used V12 engines from the beginning.
Electrification has not changed the Revuelto’s fundamental character, with Lamborghini maintaining the V12-powered formula that defines the car and its lineage.
A Facelift Appears to Be Already in Development
The Lamborghini Revuelto was revealed in mid-2023 as a 2024 model. Two years later, the supercar remains a relatively fresh design, making the appearance of what seems to be a facelift prototype somewhat unexpected.
David Suarez, known as @elscarspott on Instagram, photographed what appears to be a camouflaged Revuelto. According to the report, this marks the first time the vehicle has been photographed and published online.
The sighting comes while the Revuelto is still a young model and shortly after the debut of the SV.
Spy Photos Reveal Possible Exterior Changes
Lamborghini has not announced any updates to the Revuelto, making it impossible to confirm the full scope of the changes. However, the spy shots appear to reveal several potential revisions.
At the front, the prototype appears to feature a new bumper with a wider central air intake. The headlights are covered, suggesting they may also receive revisions, although the distinctive Y-shaped daytime running lights remain visible.
A notable change along the side is what appears to be an air scoop positioned above the quarter panel, a feature not found on the current model.
Rear Diffuser May Also Be Revised
The rear of the camouflaged Lamborghini Revuelto appears to feature reshaped exhaust housing. The Supercar Blog also identified what appears to be a new diffuser design with three strakes instead of the four found on the current version.
The reduction in the number of strakes could indicate that Lamborghini has also made changes to the car’s floor.
Official Debut Timing Remains Unknown
It remains unknown when Lamborghini will officially reveal the updated Revuelto. With the current model only two years old, an official debut is unlikely to take place this year.
The facelifted Lamborghini Revuelto is more likely to appear without camouflage by mid-2027 as a 2028 model, though Lamborghini has yet to confirm any timing or details surrounding the potential update.
