The Cayenne Electric range sold in the UK and Ireland for the MY27 model year is gaining several new options, including a major expansion of Paint to Sample, orderable wireless charging, electric self-closing doors and a new massage seat system. The changes apply specifically to those markets, and not every option currently has a confirmed U.S. equivalent.

What’s New for Cayenne Electric Buyers

Paint to Sample on the UK Cayenne Electric now covers 105 colors, up from 13 previously. The option costs $10,600 at current exchange rates.

Wireless charging can also now be ordered rather than simply prepared for future installation. The vehicle-side hardware costs about $2,600 on top of a Paint to Sample shade, while a separate $7,200 ground pad delivers up to 11 kW at roughly 90 percent efficiency. The system automatically stops charging if anything wanders onto the pad.

Electric self-closing doors are available for $2,200, while the new massage seat option costs about $3,900. The system features 16 air cushions, six sound actuators and what Porsche describes as a “four-dimensional musical experience.”

How the Cayenne Electric Compares in the U.S.

The U.S. Cayenne Electric lineup already offers Paint to Sample, but through a different program. It includes 92 historical colors for $13,870, which Porsche’s own configurator confirms is separate from the expanded UK offering.

Wireless charging is already further along in one respect in the U.S. Autoblog previously tracked a fully loaded Cayenne Turbo Electric build with the wireless system listed as an $8,000 option. That is close to the UK’s roughly $9,800 combined cost when the vehicle hardware and ground pad are added together.

However, the electric self-closing doors and massage seat system do not have confirmed U.S. pricing or availability at this point.

Wireless Charging Stands Out

Among the new options, Porsche’s wireless charging system is the most technically notable feature across the markets discussed. Engineering constraints currently prevent the system from fitting the smaller Taycan or Macan Electric, making the Cayenne’s additional size a functional advantage for the technology.

The UK update is significant because buyers can now actually select wireless charging when ordering the Cayenne Electric, rather than merely preparing the vehicle for a later installation. The option joins the expanded Paint to Sample program and other new features available for UK and Irish buyers for the MY27 model year.
