The Lexus RX continues to dominate the luxury brand’s U.S. sales, with more than 80,000 units sold between January and August 2026. With the 2027 model year approaching, Lexus is making only limited changes to its best-selling vehicle while raising prices and reducing the number of available trims.
2027 Lexus RX Set to Arrive at Dealerships
According to a recent press release, the 2027 Lexus RX will reach dealerships later this fall with a slight price increase and fewer trim options. Lexus is eliminating the base RX 350 front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive models, making the RX 350 Premium the new entry point for the lineup.
The most affordable version will be the RX 350 Premium FWD, priced at $55,450. That figure includes the $1,550 delivery, processing and handling fee.
At the top of the range, the RX 450h+ Luxury AWD will cost $73,510, while the RX 500h F SPORT Performance AWD will be priced at $68,950.
Powertrain choices remain unchanged across the lineup. The RX 350 continues with a 275-horsepower, 2.4-liter turbocharged inline-four, while the RX 500h retains its 366-hp hybrid arrangement.
What’s New for the 2027 Lexus RX?
The biggest change for the 2027 Lexus RX is a $500 price increase across every available trim. For comparison, the 2026 RX 350 Premium FWD carried an MSRP of $54,950, while the 2027 model is priced at $55,450.
Beyond the price adjustment and reduced trim lineup, Lexus is making only one minor equipment change to two versions of the RX: the RX 350 F SPORT Handling AWD and RX 500h F SPORT Performance AWD.
Both trims will offer optional red brake calipers at the front and rear, giving buyers another visual customization option for the Lexus crossover.
Limited Changes as RX Sales Remain Strong
The 2027 Lexus RX retains the same powertrain choices while receiving modest updates for the new model year. With the vehicle continuing to perform strongly in the U.S. market, Lexus is largely maintaining the formula used by the current RX.
