Hyundai’s Ioniq electric vehicle lineup has been praised for its strong driving range, engaging dynamics, and fast charging at a competitive price. Models like the Ioniq 5, Ioniq 9, and the now-discontinued Ioniq 6 have also drawn attention for their retrofuturistic styling, featuring pixel-inspired lighting and sharp body creases. Now, Hyundai appears to be taking its Ioniq design in a new direction, revealing two concept cars.
Details are limited. Hyundai has shared only two images and two names: Venus and Earth. A caption accompanying the teaser reads, “Designed as a cosmic statement. Engineered for humans. Marking another beginning of Ioniq’s grand narrative.” The company did not specify which name corresponds to which image.
One image shows a gold car from the rear, featuring thin taillights, a small lip spoiler that extends along the sides, and a fastback roofline. The other image depicts the front of a silver car with narrow horizontal LED headlights and angled LED elements forming a forward-pointing arrow, complemented by crisp body creases and a raked windshield. Black cladding around the wheel wells suggests that one of the vehicles could be an SUV.
The exact body styles and full details remain unclear. The designs share visual cues with other recent electric concepts, such as the Kia Meta Turismo. Hyundai has not announced when or where Venus and Earth will be revealed, though the Beijing Auto Show and Milan Design Week in April are possible venues.
