Alfa Romeo has introduced the Edizione Luna Rossa series, a collection of special-edition models created to commemorate the second preliminary regatta for the 2027 America’s Cup, underway in Napoli, Italy, until September 27.
The collection brings together two Italian institutions: Alfa Romeo and Luna Rossa, the premier sailing team that gives the series its name. The Edizione Luna Rossa lineup covers the automaker’s Junior, Tonale, Giulia, and Stelvio models and will serve as the new top-of-the-line variant across all European markets.
Alfa Romeo Edizione Luna Rossa Collection
The special-edition models feature a red Alfa Romeo logo and a color palette inspired by Luna Rossa boats. White, black, gray, and red are combined across different exterior and interior design elements.
The collection is divided into two variations, with one design approach applied to the Junior and Tonale and another used for the Giulia and Stelvio.
Junior and Tonale Get Sailing-Inspired Design
The Junior and Tonale feature “technology and design inspired by the world of sailing.” Both models receive a new gray exterior color inspired by the Personal Flotation Devices worn by the Luna Rossa team, while Black and White exterior finishes are also available.
The Junior is equipped with 18-inch Gloss Black Wheels, while the Stelvio gets 20-inch wheels. Inside, dark shades are combined with red accents, with the most notable feature being new 3D Knit technology used for the seat upholstery.
3D Knit is typically used in activewear, and the new process makes its debut in these special Alfa Romeo models.
Giulia and Stelvio Focus on Sporty Sailing Design
The Giulia and Stelvio versions are described as the most “exclusive and sporty interpretation” of sailing, connecting Alfa Romeo’s sporting DNA with high-performance sailing competition.
These models are offered in a standard White finish, along with Black and Etna Red. Carbon fiber is used for most components, including the front badge and mirror caps featuring the Luna Rossa logo.
On the Giulia specifically, the side skirts and spoiler draw on the styling language of the renowned Quadrifoglio version.
Recycled Materials Inside
Both the Giulia and Stelvio feature a monochromatic interior accented by the iconic Luna Rossa liner crossing the seats and carbon inserts on the dashboard.
The cabin combines leather with 100% recycled ECONYL fabric, which is made from nylon recovered from fishing nets on the seabed.
With the Edizione Luna Rossa collection, Alfa Romeo has extended its connection with sailing across the Junior, Tonale, Giulia, and Stelvio, using dedicated colors, materials, design details, and technology throughout the special-edition lineup.
