The 2027 Ford Super Duty gains additional off-road capability through an updated Tremor package, but buyers seeking an even more rugged setup can turn to Roush for a new package with upgraded suspension, 35-inch tires and other off-road-focused equipment.
Roush Gives the Super Duty a More Rugged Setup
Roush starts with the Super Duty and adds its performance suspension system. While the company does not detail every revision, it says the setup improves “ride quality, handling, stability, and off-road capability while preserving the utility expected from a Super Duty.”
The package includes 20-inch gloss-black wheels wrapped in General Tire Grabber A/TX 35-inch all-terrain tires. New slotted front and rear brake rotors are also included to improve stopping ability.
Super Duty trucks equipped with the turbodiesel Power Stroke 6.7-liter V8 receive a new exhaust system as part of the Roush package.
Roush Adds Exterior and Interior Upgrades
The Roush package adds a shorter-than-stock front air dam designed to improve front-end clearance during off-road driving. A Roush-branded gloss-black illuminated grille gives the truck a distinct front-end appearance, while fender flares feature integrated accent lights.
Inside, Roush adds carbon-fiber trim and Roush-branded floor mats. Buyers can also choose upgraded leather upholstery as an option.
Additional options include a red or silver exterior graphics package and an auxiliary exterior lighting package designed to provide more illumination when driving off-road.
2027 Ford Super Duty Tremor Gets More Off-Road Equipment
Ford’s updated Tremor package is designed for off-road trails and rock crawling. It includes a lifted suspension, 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires mounted on 18-inch matte-black wheels, a limited-slip front differential and an electronic-locking rear differential.
The package also adds skid plates and water-fording vent tubes. For trail driving, Ford provides Trail Control, Trail Turn Assist and Rock Crawl Mode.
Ford Adds an XL Off-Road Package
Customers looking for a more basic Super Duty configuration for off-road use can choose the new XL Off-Road 35-Inch Tire Package. It is available on the truck’s base Crew Cab 4×4 short-box trim.
The package includes 35-inch tires with 18-inch Sparkle Silver wheels, a taller ride height, an electronic-locking rear differential, a limited-slip front differential, performance shocks and a full-size spare wheel.
The XL Off-Road 35-Inch Tire Package is also compatible with the Ford Performance 12,000-pound winch, giving Super Duty buyers another option for building a truck focused on off-road capability.
With the updated Tremor package, the new XL Off-Road configuration and Roush’s more extensive upgrades, the 2027 Ford Super Duty offers several ways to add off-road equipment to the heavy-duty truck.
