Porsche Manthey MR 30 anniversary editions are celebrating the motorsport specialist’s 30th anniversary with two limited-production track cars based on the 911 GT3 Cup and 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport. Limited to just 15 units each, the special editions combine extensive carbon-fiber bodywork, track-focused aerodynamic upgrades and dedicated chassis enhancements, with the 911 producing 552 horsepower. Order requests will remain open until October 30, 2026, while deliveries are scheduled to begin at different times for the two models.
Porsche 911 GT3 Cup MR 30 Combines 552 HP With Extensive Aero Upgrades
The Porsche 911 GT3 Cup MR 30 brings together two areas that have shaped Manthey’s development work: engine modifications and improvements to aerodynamics, suspension, cooling and handling. Based on the 992.1-generation race car, the anniversary edition features a heavily revised, water-cooled six-cylinder boxer engine enlarged to 4.2 liters and producing 552 horsepower.
Power is delivered to the rear axle through a six-speed sequential transmission. During early development, when the car had less power, the package recorded a time of 7:58.605 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife’s long NLS track configuration.
Manthey has extensively redesigned the car’s bodywork, using recycled carbon fiber for the entire front end, including the fenders and hood, as well as the rear bodywork, wheel-arch extensions, rear lid and rear wing. The extensions increase track width by 20 millimeters at the front and 50 millimeters at the rear.
A central radiator is designed to improve exhaust-airflow management while helping the car remain operational after a minor impact. The bodywork also incorporates larger air inlets to improve brake cooling.
Additional aerodynamic changes include a new front splitter with an integrated underbody, extra front flics and a redesigned rear section with enlarged end plates and modified mountings. The revised rear mounting arrangement also allows a more aerodynamic intake to be fitted.
Manthey has developed its own forged wheels for the 911 GT3 Cup MR 30, reducing weight by 8.3 pounds and lowering unsprung mass. The suspension package includes six-way adjustable coilovers, modified kinematics and optimized spring rates.
Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport MR 30 Focuses on Lightweight Performance
The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport MR 30 applies Manthey’s track-focused approach to a mid-engine platform. Although the 911 is closely associated with the company, the 718-based anniversary model receives its own extensive set of lightweight components and aerodynamic upgrades.
Unlike the 911’s forged wheels, the Cayman uses carbon-fiber wheels that save 12.5 pounds. Its engine remains unchanged, producing 493 horsepower, while the rest of the package focuses on weight reduction, downforce and cooling.
Carbon fiber features throughout the redesigned bodywork, including the fenders with lightweight headlights, the front bumper and splitter, and the revised rear section. The latter incorporates a new bumper, a trunk lid with a lightweight window and a rear wing.
The Cayman also gains a carbon-fiber diffuser and additional front flics to increase downforce. Like the 911 GT3 Cup MR 30, it uses a central radiator, prompting the addition of a specially designed hood vent.
Brake cooling has also received attention. The system features ducts developed using insights from the Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport EVO.
Production, Deliveries and Pricing for the MR 30 Editions
Manthey is limiting production of each anniversary model to 15 units. Order requests for both MR 30 editions will remain open through October 30, 2026, but allocations will begin later.
The 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport MR 30 is expected to begin reaching customers in November 2026. Deliveries of the 911 GT3 Cup MR 30 are scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2027.
Manthey has not announced pricing for either model. Both cars will feature special anniversary liveries, “30 Years Manthey” badges, special-edition logos and headrests carrying the anniversary logo.
With production restricted to 15 examples per model, the MR 30 editions mark Manthey’s 30th anniversary with two highly specialized Porsche track cars. Their combination of engine performance, carbon-fiber construction and dedicated aerodynamic and chassis upgrades reflects the company’s focus on track use.
