The Subaru Crosstrek Rip Curl Edition brings a fresh take on the compact crossover with a collection of practical accessories designed for surfers and outdoor enthusiasts. Developed in collaboration with Australian surf brand Rip Curl, the special edition adds equipment for carrying surfboards, protecting the interior from sand and salt, and making beach trips more convenient. The catch is that the model is available exclusively in the Australian market.

Subaru Crosstrek Rip Curl Edition Gets a Unique Design

Subaru frequently introduces special editions of the WRX and BRZ, but its other popular models typically receive fewer distinctive upgrades. The Crosstrek Rip Curl Edition changes that approach with a package that combines exclusive styling details and functional equipment.

The collaboration brings together Subaru and Rip Curl, an Australian surf brand that has been making clothing, wetsuits and accessories for nearly 60 years. The Crosstrek features a prominent black Rip Curl logo sticker on the hood, along with additional branded details inside and outside the vehicle.

Other exterior changes include a redesigned grille featuring crossbars instead of the standard mesh-style appearance, as well as front mud flaps. These additions give the special edition a distinct look while complementing its surf-focused equipment.

Interior Upgrades Protect Against Sand and Salt

The Crosstrek Rip Curl Edition also receives several interior accessories designed to help protect the cabin after a day at the beach. Rip Curl seat protectors cover the front seats, helping keep salt and sand away from the factory upholstery.

A branded cargo tray provides similar protection in the rear, while rubber floor mats add another practical touch for drivers who regularly bring sandy equipment into the vehicle.

Together, these accessories make the special edition more suited to outdoor activities without changing the Crosstrek’s underlying identity.

Roof Accessories Make Surfboard Transport Easier

The most functional additions are mounted on the roof. The Crosstrek Rip Curl Edition comes with Thule crossbars and surf pads attached to the factory roof rails, providing equipment for transporting a surfboard between home and the beach.

Vent visors are also included, allowing drivers to leave the windows slightly open to help keep the cabin cool while limiting the entry of rain and sand.

The package extends beyond the vehicle itself, with Subaru including a pair of Rip Curl hoodie towels and a 50-liter wetsuit bucket. However, Subaru has not shown whether these accessories also carry co-branded logos.

Subaru Crosstrek Rip Curl Edition Price

The Subaru Crosstrek Rip Curl Edition is priced at 41,490 Australian dollars, approximately 2,500 Australian dollars more than the standard Crosstrek.

That price reflects the Australian market, where the entry-level Crosstrek is better equipped than the base model sold in the United States. As a result, the two markets’ prices and equipment levels are not directly comparable.

With its surfboard-carrying equipment, protective interior accessories and Rip Curl-branded extras, the Crosstrek Rip Curl Edition offers Australian buyers a special edition tailored to beach trips and outdoor adventures.
