BMW has opened a new dealership at the former FSO automobile factory in Warsaw, Poland, bringing car sales and servicing back to a historic automotive site 15 years after production ended. Operated by the Zdunek Group, the temporary BMW Zdunek Premium Warszawa facility began welcoming customers on August 24 at Jagiellońska 92 in the Żerań district.
The location once produced some of Poland’s best-known cars, including the Syrena, Polski Fiat 125p and Polonez. Now, the former factory has a different automotive purpose, offering new BMW models, certified pre-owned vehicles and authorized servicing rather than manufacturing cars.
BMW Dealership Opens at Former FSO Factory
The new dealership occupies the grounds of Fabryka Samochodów Osobowych (FSO), a Polish automaker that produced vehicles for decades before production ended in 2011. The factory never returned to its former prominence, but the site is once again serving customers in the automotive industry.
BMW did not establish or operate the dealership directly. The Zdunek Group, an established dealer partner, is responsible for bringing BMW vehicles and services to the former factory site.
The facility is currently temporary, and BMW has not announced when a permanent location will open. Nevertheless, the dealership expands the brand’s presence in Warsaw, particularly for customers seeking sales and service facilities in this part of the city.
BMW Dealership Features Retail.NEXT Design
The BMW Zdunek Premium Warszawa dealership occupies an existing office building that underwent a three-month renovation. Its design follows BMW’s Retail.NEXT concept, which combines contemporary showroom styling, digital tools and a more flexible approach to customer service.
The exterior received a comprehensive makeover, including a distinctive white expanded-metal mesh facade. BMW also plans to introduce illuminated details inspired by the signature lighting of its Neue Klasse models, bringing elements of the brand’s latest design language to the historic site.
New BMW Models, Certified Used Cars and Service
The dealership offers the full range of new BMW models, along with certified pre-owned vehicles through the BMW Premium Selection program. These used vehicles undergo a comprehensive 360-degree inspection covering their history and servicing.
Vehicles sold through the program also come with a 24-month warranty valid across Europe. Customers can have their cars serviced at the location, while a BMW Motorrad showroom is expected to join the facility soon.
With the opening, BMW’s Polish network includes 44 sales locations and 58 service points. The automaker is also expanding its Retail.NEXT concept across the country, with 32 dealerships already operating under the updated format.
From Poland’s Affordable Cars to BMW Luxury Models
The new dealership marks a significant change in the purpose of the Żerań site. FSO once manufactured affordable vehicles for Polish motorists, including the Syrena, Polski Fiat 125p and Polonez, before its automotive production eventually came to an end.
Chevrolet and Daewoo models also belong to the site’s automotive history. The last Aveo rolled off the assembly line 15 years ago, and the factory has since lost its former manufacturing role.
Now, BMW vehicles occupy the spotlight at the historic location. Although the site no longer produces cars, the opening of the dealership restores its connection to the automotive business, this time through premium vehicle sales, certified used cars and authorized servicing.
