Bugatti has restored a one-of-a-kind Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, bringing the distinctive hypercar back to its original condition through the company’s La Maison Pur Sang program. Identified as chassis 8.100, the roadster features an exposed, polished aluminum body, a Carmine Red leather interior and an 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine producing 1,200 metric horsepower.

More than ten years after leaving the factory, the unique Veyron returned to Bugatti for a comprehensive restoration. The team removed aftermarket modifications and carefully reviewed the car’s details to preserve its original design and history. The restored vehicle now resides on the French Riviera with its new caretaker.

Bugatti’s La Maison Pur Sang Restores Automotive History

Bugatti’s La Maison Pur Sang program is designed to preserve the company’s special cars for future generations of collectors. It allows owners to trace a vehicle’s history, verify its authenticity and restore it to its intended condition.

The program also provides certification and refurbishment services, helping ensure that rare Bugattis retain their provenance as they pass between owners. Its latest project focused on chassis 8.100, a one-off Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse distinguished by its polished aluminum exterior.

Creating the unusual finish required substantial effort, including the use of aluminum blocks. After the car returned to the factory, Bugatti’s specialists removed the aftermarket changes and worked to restore its original appearance.

Polished Aluminum Body and Carmine Red Interior

The Veyron’s most striking feature is its exposed, polished aluminum bodywork. Rather than relying on conventional paint, the finish highlights the roadster’s curves and contours, creating reflections that can make the surface appear mirror-like under certain lighting conditions.

According to Bugatti, its designers spent considerable time studying how light would reflect off the metal and how different angles would shape the car’s appearance. Master craftsmen then translated that design work into the finished vehicle.

The exterior’s silver tones contrast with a Carmine Red leather interior. Exposed carbon fiber, polished metal and handcrafted details complete the cabin, combining advanced materials with a distinctive visual design.

The result is a roadster that brings together engineering-focused construction and show-car styling. Its polished metal exterior and carefully finished interior set the one-off Veyron apart from more conventional versions of the model.

Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Retains 1,200-Metric-Horsepower Engine

Beyond its distinctive appearance, the restored Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse retains its 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine. The powertrain produces 1,200 metric horsepower and 1,106 lb-ft of torque.

Bugatti has not disclosed the restoration’s cost or identified the vehicle’s new owner. The company’s latest La Maison Pur Sang project has returned the one-off roadster to its original condition, and the car now resides on the French Riviera.
