Ford Racing Parts has unveiled a more powerful version of its Megazilla 2.0 supercharged V8 at the 2026 SEMA Show, delivering more than 1,200 horsepower and over 1,000 lb-ft of torque. Installed in a custom Bronco called Frostwarden, the engine showcases what Ford describes as the most powerful crate engine ever created by an automaker.

Built around the 7.3-liter Megazilla platform and a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger, the latest version features extensive engineering upgrades designed to help it deliver its increased power reliably.

Ford Megazilla 2.0 Gets Major Engine Upgrades

Developing the Megazilla 2.0 involved much more than adding a supercharger to the original engine. The program required a stronger block, a supercharger-specific camshaft, beefier pistons, larger fuel injectors, a revised belt drive and damper, and Whipple’s Gen 6 version of its 3.0-liter supercharger, featuring a bright blue cover.

The upgrades allow the V8 to produce more than 1,200 horsepower and over 1,000 lb-ft of torque, making it the centerpiece of Ford’s latest SEMA showcase.

Frostwarden Bronco Brings the Megazilla 2.0 to Life

Rather than displaying the engine on a stand, Ford installed it beneath the hood of Frostwarden, a heavily modified Bronco inspired by a search-and-rescue vehicle operating in Arctic conditions.

Developed in collaboration with Kincer Chassis in Tennessee, the widened Bronco features portal gear lifts from 74Weld, custom 18-inch Weld bead-lock wheels wrapped in 42-inch BFGoodrich tires, steel bumpers, a front-mounted winch and custom Bilstein dampers.

Dana helped upgrade the driveline hardware, while additional equipment includes RTR traction board holders and Rigid lighting mounted on the roof and tailgate.

Custom Bronco Combines Off-Road Hardware With Premium Styling

Frostwarden features a black-and-mustard exterior theme that carries into the cabin, complemented by additional carbon fiber details.

The finished vehicle combines extensive off-road equipment with a polished appearance resembling a factory-built model. Dual-exit exhaust tips add another distinctive detail to the custom Bronco.

Despite its production-quality presentation, Frostwarden is a SEMA concept and is not planned for series production.

How Much Could the Megazilla 2.0 Engine Cost?

Ford has not announced pricing for the latest Megazilla 2.0 engine. The naturally aspirated Megazilla 1.0 starts well above $20,000, while a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger costs between $7,000 and $15,000.

Based on those figures, the supercharged Megazilla 2.0 could fall around the $30,000 range, although an official price has not been confirmed.

Frostwarden showcases the customization possibilities available through Ford Racing Parts, with the new Megazilla 2.0 taking center stage. The 1,200-horsepower-plus crate engine highlights the potential for enthusiasts involved in drag racing, drifting and off-road builds.
