Toyota said the 2027 Toyota Corolla Hatchback is expected to arrive at dealerships this summer with a starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $24,780, excluding Dealer Processing and Handling fees. The updated compact hatchback introduces new technology upgrades, expanded equipment across both trims, and newly available exterior accessories while retaining its sporty design and performance.
New Technology Across the Lineup
The 2027 Toyota Corolla Hatchback will be offered in SE and XSE grades, with both receiving updated digital technology.
The SE grade now comes standard with a 7-inch digital gauge cluster. Buyers can also choose the new SE Premium Package, which adds a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster alongside a 10.5-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia system.
The XSE grade now includes both the 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and the 10.5-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia system as standard equipment.
New Exterior Options and Design Features
Toyota has expanded the 2027 Corolla Hatchback lineup with newly available Toyota Genuine accessory 18-inch gloss white alloy wheels. The company also introduced updated exterior color offerings, including Inked, Blueprint, and Blueprint with Black Roof.
The hatchback features a rounded, muscular design with sculpted character lines and three-dimensional styling elements. Depending on the grade, it rides on 16-inch or 18-inch alloy wheels.
Slim LED headlamps extend into the front fenders, while LED taillamps feature a diffusing inner lens designed to emphasize the vehicle’s stance. The XSE grade also includes LED fog lights with chrome-finished fog bezels.
Exterior color choices include Blueprint, Inferno, Inked, Classic Silver Metallic, Finish Line Red, Magnetic Gray Metallic, Wind Chill Pearl, and Ice Cap. Two-tone black roof combinations are available with Blueprint, Classic Silver Metallic, Finish Line Red, Magnetic Gray Metallic, and Wind Chill Pearl.
Performance and Fuel Economy
Built at the Tsutsumi Plant in Aichi, Japan, the 2027 Toyota Corolla Hatchback is based on the TNGA-C platform. It features a solid structure, a low center of gravity, and MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspensions designed to provide agile handling and ride comfort.
Power comes from a 2.0-liter Dynamic Force four-cylinder DOHC 16-valve engine equipped with Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i). The engine produces 169 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque.
Toyota estimates fuel economy for the SE grade at 32 mpg in the city, 41 mpg on the highway, and 35 mpg combined.
Every grade comes with a Dynamic Shift continuously variable transmission (CVT) featuring a physical launch gear for initial acceleration before transitioning to the pulley system. Paddle shifters are standard across the lineup, allowing drivers to access 10 pre-set ratios. NORMAL, ECO, and SPORT drive modes are also standard.
Interior Comfort and Connectivity
The cabin is designed with a focus on comfort and quality materials. The SE grade includes a standard 6-way adjustable fabric driver’s seat and a 4-way adjustable front passenger seat.
The XSE grade comes with a SofTex-trimmed 8-way power-adjustable heated driver’s seat and a heated 4-way adjustable front passenger seat.
An 8-inch touchscreen with Toyota Audio Multimedia is standard on every model, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, dual Bluetooth phone connectivity, and a six-speaker audio system.
Five-year trials of Safety Connect, Service Connect, and Remote Connect are included, along with a 30-day/3 GB Wi-Fi Connect trial. Additional Connected Services, including Drive Connect, may be available depending on grade. These services are 4G network-dependent.

The 2027 Toyota Corolla Hatchback is backed by Toyota’s 36-month/36,000-mile basic new-vehicle warranty. It also includes a 60-month/60,000-mile powertrain warranty and a 60-month corrosion warranty with no mileage limitation.
ToyotaCare is included as standard, covering factory-scheduled maintenance for one year or 10,000 miles, whichever comes first, along with 24-hour roadside assistance for two years with unlimited mileage.
