Dodge Charger Super Bee appears set to return, with Dodge releasing a teaser that points to the revival of the iconic nameplate. The automaker confirmed a reveal date of Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, one day before its 2026 Road Kill Nights event, where a weekend of burnouts, drag racing, and other activities is scheduled to begin.
Dodge Teases the Return of the Super Bee
Dodge released a 15-second teaser video on Tuesday that strongly hints at the return of the Super Bee. The clip features a swarm of bees surrounding a drag strip starting light, accompanied by the sound of buzzing before ending with the lyric, “you know what it is, black and yellow, black and yellow.”
The short video leaves little doubt about what Dodge plans to unveil during its Aug. 7 presentation.
Most Powerful Sixpack-Powered Charger Yet
Alongside the teaser, Dodge said the upcoming model will be the most powerful sixpack-powered Charger. The description refers to a Charger equipped with a more powerful version of the turbocharged Hurricane inline-six engine.
The current Charger Scat Pack with the high-output Hurricane turbocharged six-cylinder engine produces 550 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque.
Dodge has previously confirmed that an even more powerful Hurricane-powered Charger is in development. In March, Dodge CEO Matt McLear told The Drive, “We’re gonna continue to push the limits of this engine [the Hurricane I6] and see what it can do.”
Another Bee Nameplate Returns
The Super Bee is not the first Bee-branded model to return under Stellantis this year. In May, the 2027 Ram SRT Rumble Bee was revealed with a 777-horsepower, Hellcat-sourced supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine.
Hemi-Powered Charger Still Planned
The upcoming Charger Super Bee will use a six-cylinder engine rather than a Hemi V8. However, Stellantis has already indicated that a Hemi-powered Charger is on the way.
Later in May, Stellantis announced a turnaround plan that includes 60 new vehicles and 50 refreshes by 2030. Among those future products is a new Charger SRT featuring a large rear wing inspired by the Superbird era.
For now, the Charger lineup remains without a Hemi engine, and that will still be the case when the Super Bee is revealed next week. Instead, Dodge is set to bring back the Super Bee nameplate for a new era with a six-cylinder-powered Charger.
