Toyota has announced a new partnership with three-time Latin Grammy-nominated Puerto Rican artist Álvaro Díaz to celebrate music discovery, cultural connections, and fan engagement through exclusive artwork inspired by his latest album, OMAKASE. The collaboration also includes a special Toyota Music Den performance at Lollapalooza, offering fans new ways to connect with Díaz’s creative journey.
Toyota and Álvaro Díaz Launch Creative Collaboration
Announced in Plano, Texas, on July 30, 2026, the partnership brings together Toyota’s Japanese heritage and Díaz’s artistic vision, which blends Japanese and Puerto Rican influences throughout OMAKASE.
Inspired by the Japanese dining tradition in which a chef guides guests through a personalized experience, OMAKASE explores the intersection of cultures, creativity, and discovery. The album debuted at No. 1 on Spotify’s Top Albums Debut Global chart, reached No. 1 in more than 16 countries on Apple Music, and has accumulated more than 200 million global streams.
Toyota said the album’s themes made the collaboration a natural fit for connecting fans with Díaz’s music and creative vision.
Limited-Edition OMAKASE Artwork Unveiled
As part of the partnership, Toyota and Díaz worked with two artists to produce a series of limited-edition posters inspired by the OMAKASE tracklist and visual style.
The collection features artwork by Shingo Yamazaki, a Japanese Korean American oil painter whose work explores identity, home, and nostalgia, and Bikismo, the Puerto Rican graffiti artist and muralist known for his vibrant, hyper-realistic metallic style.
The four-poster series combines Japanese and Puerto Rican artistic traditions to reflect the cultural fusion at the center of both the album and the partnership.
Toyota Music Den Performance at Lollapalooza
Fans attending Díaz’s special performance at the Toyota Music Den stage during Lollapalooza will have the opportunity to receive a limited-edition poster.
The artwork collection brings the creative world of OMAKASE to life through a street-inspired blend of Latino and Japanese culture. Fans across the United States will also have opportunities to access the artwork through Toyota Latino social media channels.
Toyota Expands Music-Focused Initiatives
Toyota said the collaboration continues its efforts to support artists through music experiences that connect fans with performers shaping today’s music landscape.
Earlier this year, the company introduced OMAKASE during a listening experience at Sueños Music Festival in Chicago. The partnership will also continue through additional projects, including Sounds of the Road, presented by Toyota and SiriusXM.
The exclusive performance and interview series features both emerging and established artists, with Álvaro Díaz’s episode scheduled to launch later this year in Spanish.
