The Le Mansory Ford GT is far removed from the original Ford GT, transforming the brand’s halo car into a heavily redesigned creation from German tuner Mansory. Originally introduced in 2020 as part of Mansory’s 30th anniversary celebration, the car has resurfaced in a YouTube walk-around video.
A Radical Take on the Ford GT
The Ford GT is described as Ford’s halo car and the brand’s highest-level offering, with years and millions of dollars invested in its creation. While changes such as new wheels or a different paint job might be easier to accept, Mansory took a far more aggressive approach with the Le Mansory.
Mansory said the project was designed around the combination of fashion and cars, describing the concept as automotive haute couture. The finished vehicle is unmistakably different from the standard Ford GT, with a design focused on creating a striking visual presence.
What Mansory Changed
The Le Mansory Ford GT has been widened by 2 inches and no longer uses the factory front fascia. Instead, Mansory fitted a Y-shaped carbon nose piece along with heavy hood inlets.
The hood also features intake scoops, while the rear receives a massive wing and a three-pipe exhaust layout. Completing the exterior transformation are massive 21-inch MansoryYN.5 fully forged alloy rims.
Despite the dramatic exterior, the interior is considerably more restrained. Most of the panels have been redone in Alcantara, while the example shown in the video features a predominantly white interior.
Le Mansory Ford GT Gets More Power
Mansory kept the Ford GT’s factory powertrain components intact but modified the engine management system. The changes increased output to 710 hp from the original 660 hp.
That power increase accompanies the extensive exterior and interior modifications, creating a version of the Ford GT that bears little visual resemblance to the original design.
Only Six Le Mansory Ford GTs Were Planned
Mansory planned to produce only six Le Mansory Ford GTs, making the car an especially rare creation. When the model was first introduced, Mansory priced it at $1.8 million.
Despite its limited production and extensive modifications, the current market has not reflected an increase in value over the past 6 years. The only listed example is now priced at around $1.6 million.
The Steph Curry Edition Is Even More Valuable
There is an exception to the current pricing picture. Mansory created the Steph Curry edition, an even more “special” version of the already limited Le Mansory Ford GT.
The Steph Curry edition has an estimated value of around $2.6 million, placing it well above the roughly $1.6 million asking price of the only other listed example.
With just six Le Mansory Ford GTs slated for production, Mansory’s transformation remains an unusually limited interpretation of Ford’s halo car, combining extensive visual changes with a power increase to 710 hp.
