The 2027 Dodge Charger is adding another bold exterior option as Dodge expands its customization choices with a new deep red paint called Red Oxide. The color follows the recent introduction of Purple Haze and gives Charger customers another way to personalize the muscle car.
Red Oxide Joins the 2027 Dodge Charger Lineup
Dodge recently introduced Purple Haze for the Charger, and the brand is now announcing Red Oxide, a deep, dark red exterior color. The new paint was first debuted during the Woodward Dream Cruise event.
The 2026 Woodward Dream Cruise was the event’s 31st edition and gathered around 40,000 vehicles along the iconic Woodward Blvd. During the festivities, Dodge also held a special event called Roadkill Nights.
Red Oxide was first offered for the Durango, which also received a new colorway inspired by the Charger model called the Redeye.
Dodge Expands Charger Customization Options
Matt McAlear, Dodge CEO, said color gives customers another way to express themselves through their vehicles.
“At Dodge, color is another way our customers can express their personality and make a statement,” McAlear said.
McAlear also said custom colors, graphics, and stripe packages provide Charger customers with another bold way to personalize their vehicles and make them their own.
Red Oxide will be available for the 2027 Dodge Charger starting next month for $695.
Dodge Showcases New Charger Models
During the Woodward Dream Cruise festivities, Dodge held Roadkill Nights, where the brand showcased the new Charger Super Bee Launch Edition and Charger Scat Pack.
The event also featured thrill ride experiences in the high-performance cars built by Dodge, adding another performance-focused element to the brand’s presence at the gathering.
With the addition of Red Oxide, Dodge is giving 2027 Charger customers another distinctive exterior choice alongside its growing range of customization options.
