The 2027 Nissan Sentra will start at $22,890, keeping the compact sedan below the $23,000 mark before destination and handling charges. Nissan has also made several updates for the new model year, including revised transmission tuning, more responsive throttle inputs and a new Midnight Edition for the Sentra SR.
2027 Nissan Sentra Pricing
The Sentra’s $22,890 starting price excludes Nissan’s $1,245 destination and handling charge, bringing the actual base price to $24,135. That represents an increase of $290 compared with the 2026 model.
Nissan says the additional cost comes with changes to the driving experience. The Xtronic continuously variable transmission now has a more linear acceleration curve, while gas-pedal inputs are more responsive.
The 2027 Nissan Sentra lineup includes four trims: S, SV, SR and SL. Pricing before destination and handling is as follows:
- 2027 Nissan Sentra S: $22,890
- 2027 Nissan Sentra SV: $23,590
- 2027 Nissan Sentra SR: $24,990
- 2027 Nissan Sentra SL: $27,990
The $1,245 destination and handling charge is unchanged from last year.
Sentra SR Adds Midnight Edition
For 2027, Nissan is offering a new Midnight Edition package for the Sentra SR. The $650 package adds black window trim, gloss-black 18-inch wheels, a Super Black two-tone roof and special badging.
Super Black and Gun Metallic are the only free exterior paint choices for the Sentra SR. Other paint options cost between $450 and $950.
Qi2 Wireless Charging Added
Another notable update for the 2027 Sentra is the availability of Qi2 wireless charging. It is not offered on the base S, but SV buyers can get it through the Convenience Package.
The $990 SV Convenience Package also includes heated front seats, a heated leatherette-wrapped steering wheel, heated side mirrors with LED turn signals, proximity entry and locking, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
Similar equipment, including wireless charging, comes standard on the SR and SL trims.
2027 Nissan Sentra Engine and Fuel Economy
The 2027 Sentra continues to use a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine producing 149 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque.
While Nissan has revised the powertrain tuning, the Sentra remains focused on comfortable driving rather than performance. The sedan can achieve up to 38 mpg on the freeway.
What Changes for 2027?
The 2027 Sentra’s updates are focused on incremental improvements, with Nissan saying the revised transmission and throttle response are based on customer feedback.
The new Midnight Edition also gives the SR a darker appearance, combining its existing styling with black exterior elements. With a $290 increase over the 2026 model, the 2027 Nissan Sentra adds updated driving characteristics and new equipment while retaining its 2.0-liter engine.
