The 2027 Subaru Forester lineup keeps most prices unchanged while adding more standard equipment and introducing an all-new Wilderness Hybrid model. Subaru is also reshuffling the trim lineup, with gas-only Sport and Touring models discontinued for 2027.
2027 Subaru Forester Prices
Most 2027 Forester models carry over their 2026 MSRP, including the base Forester at $29,995 and the entry-level Forester Hybrid at $34,730. The Premium, Premium Hybrid, Sport Hybrid, Limited Hybrid and Touring Hybrid also keep their previous prices.
There are two exceptions. The gas-powered Forester Wilderness increases from $36,995 to $39,495, while the Forester Limited rises from $35,995 to $37,595.
Subaru says the higher prices for those two trims come with additional standard equipment that previously cost extra. Destination and handling fees also increase by $25 across the lineup.

2027 Forester Wilderness Hybrid Arrives
The biggest addition to the 2027 lineup is the Forester Wilderness Hybrid, which combines Subaru’s Wilderness treatment with its next-generation hybrid powertrain for the first time.
Starting at $40,495, the Wilderness Hybrid sits above the gas-powered Wilderness in the lineup. It features 9.3 inches of ground clearance, Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, dual-mode X-MODE, Yokohama Geolandar all-terrain tires and reinforced underbody armor.
Power comes from Subaru’s series-parallel hybrid system, which combines a purpose-built 2.5-liter BOXER engine with electric motors and a lithium-ion battery. The system produces a combined 194 horsepower.
Subaru says the new hybrid Wilderness uses less fuel while maintaining the go-anywhere capability associated with the Wilderness badge.
Subaru Reshuffles the Forester Lineup
For 2027, the gas-only Sport and Touring trims are discontinued. That leaves four gasoline models: Base, Premium, Wilderness and Limited.
The hybrid lineup expands to five trims with the addition of the Wilderness Hybrid. It joins the Premium Hybrid, Sport Hybrid, Limited Hybrid and Touring Hybrid.
More Standard Features for 2027
The higher-priced Wilderness receives several new standard features, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an 11.6-inch multimedia system with navigation, Harman Kardon audio and a power rear gate.
For 2027, Subaru also adds a heated steering wheel and heated rear seats to the Wilderness.
The Limited trim gains a power rear gate, heated steering wheel and rain-sensing wipers, which were previously optional extras.
Every 2027 Forester continues to come standard with Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, EyeSight driver-assist technology and at least 8.7 inches of ground clearance.
The refreshed 2027 Subaru Forester lineup is expected to arrive at Subaru dealers across the U.S. later this fall.
