The 2027 Chevrolet Silverado is officially more expensive across much of its lineup, with major price increases on some trims. But Chevrolet is keeping one of its core Silverado models at exactly the same price as last year.

2027 Chevrolet Silverado Starts Above $40,000

The entry-level 2027 Silverado WT (Work Truck) starts at $38,600. With the mandatory $2,795 destination charge, the total reaches $41,395.

That compares with $39,695 for the 2026 Silverado WT, which also carried a $2,795 destination fee. The new truck is therefore $1,700 more expensive.

For that price, every Silverado, including the WT, gets a 12.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a larger 16.3-inch landscape-oriented center touchscreen. Standard driver-assistance features include emergency braking, pedestrian alerts, rear cross-traffic braking, adaptive cruise control and more.

The 2027 configurator is not yet live, so a detailed breakdown of standard equipment is not available. Based on the 2026 truck, the WT is expected to come with rear-wheel drive, vinyl floors and painted steel wheels. The 2.7-liter four-cylinder TurboMax is likely to be the standard and only engine, producing 350 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque.

ZR2 and High Country Get Bigger Price Increases

At the other end of the lineup, the rugged Silverado ZR2 starts at $79,995 with destination included. That’s a $5,400 increase compared with last year.

The ZR2 brings suspension upgrades, while buyers can also opt for a third interior screen for the passenger. Chevrolet’s new V8 engines are also available.

The biggest year-over-year increase belongs to the High Country. The upscale Silverado starts at $74,495 for 2027, an $8,800 increase compared with the 2026 model.

That puts the 2027 High Country nearly at the same price as last year’s ZR2. Chevrolet describes the High Country as a more elegant and refined pickup this year.

Core Silverado Trims See Smaller Increases

While the entry-level and flagship versions account for a smaller share of sales, most buyers choose trims in the middle of the lineup. For those customers, Chevrolet’s pricing announcement includes one notable piece of good news.

The core trim formerly known as LT, now simply called Silverado, gets no price increase. It starts at $50,695 with two-wheel drive, while choosing four-wheel drive adds the Z71 off-road package as standard.

The Custom starts at $46,395, up $1,200 from 2026. It is technically the entry-level grade for buyers who aren’t choosing the Work Truck, which is aimed at fleets, and includes features such as 20-inch wheels and dual exhaust.

The Custom Trail Boss starts at $57,195, an increase of $1,500 from last year. Chevrolet says the Silverado, Custom and Custom Trail Boss represent the core of the lineup.

2026 vs. 2027 Chevrolet Silverado Prices

Silverado Trim 2026 2027 Price Increase
Work Truck $39,695 $41,395 $1,700
Custom $45,195 $46,395 $1,200
Silverado $50,695 $50,695 $0
Custom Trail Boss $55,695 $57,195 $1,500
Trail Boss $62,495 $63,995 $1,500
High Country $65,695 $74,495 $8,800
ZR2 $74,595 $79,995 $5,400

How the Silverado Compares With Ram and F-150

Ford recently revealed its updated 2027 F-150, providing an early comparison among the Detroit brands. The entry-level 2027 F-150 XL with two-wheel drive starts at $40,585, undercutting the Silverado by $810.

The 2027 Ram 1500 starts at $45,370, putting its starting price above the Silverado.

However, Ram no longer offers a single-cab truck, while both Ford and Chevrolet continue to offer one. Once the full 2027 configurators are available online, the various trims can be compared in greater detail.

For now, Chevrolet’s 2027 Silverado pricing shows increases across much of the lineup, while the core Silverado trim remains at its 2026 price of $50,695.
