The 2027 Chevrolet Trailblazer is expected to remain one of the few new vehicles priced within $1,000 of $25,000, even with the destination charge. According to pricing found by CarsDirect, Chevrolet is keeping increases relatively modest on most trims, while all-wheel-drive pricing could remain lower than the Nissan Kicks and Subaru Crosstrek.
2027 Chevrolet Trailblazer Pricing
CarsDirect found the 2027 Trailblazer prices in an order guide for the new model year. Chevrolet has not yet confirmed the final figures. A Chevrolet representative said he would check on the pricing, while the destination charge remains unknown.
According to CarsDirect, the 2027 Chevrolet Trailblazer will have the following MSRPs:
- LS FWD: $23,600
- LT FWD: $24,800
- RS FWD: $28,200
- Activ AWD: $31,400
The LS, LT and RS will continue to offer front-wheel drive as standard, with each trim priced $300 higher than before. The Activ is $3,500 more expensive because the front-wheel-drive model has been dropped.
CarsDirect also reports that the Activ will now include the Driver Confidence and Convenience Packages as standard. On the current model, those packages add blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, a wireless phone charger, automatic climate control, a household-style 120-volt power outlet, power liftgate and an autodimming rearview mirror.
All-Wheel-Drive Pricing Could Stay Competitive
All-wheel drive remains a $2,000 option for the LS and LT, while the RS carries a $1,600 all-wheel-drive option.
If the destination charge remains at its current $1,795, a base LS with front-wheel drive would cost $25,395, while the all-wheel-drive version would reach $27,395.
That would put the Trailblazer’s all-wheel-drive pricing below the 2027 Nissan Kicks and 2026 Subaru Crosstrek. However, Subaru recently cut the price of the Impreza hatchback, which now undercuts all three vehicles while also offering more power.
What to Expect From the 2027 Trailblazer
The 2027 Trailblazer is expected to remain largely unchanged. The trims and price changes are similar enough to suggest that there are unlikely to be dramatic updates.
CarsDirect also found that the order guide refers to the new model as the “Trailblazer Limited.” However, a Chevrolet representative said that is only the name used on the order guide and is not the official name. The “Limited” designation will not appear anywhere on the vehicle other than the window sticker.
The Limited designation has been used on past models to identify legacy vehicles sold at a lower price, sometimes alongside completely redesigned models carrying the same name. Other automakers have used similar approaches, including Ram with the 1500 Classic, which continued the fourth-generation truck alongside the redesigned fifth-generation model.
Possible Engine and Transmission Changes
Although no major changes are expected, Chevy may drop the base 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine as well as the CVT options.
The Trailblazer’s turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder currently produces 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. The engine is also used in the Trax, where it is paired with a six-speed automatic instead of the CVT.
If Chevy drops the 1.2-liter engine and makes the turbocharged 1.3-liter three-cylinder standard, the Trailblazer would receive an increase to 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. Dropping the CVT would also make the nine-speed automatic the transmission for that engine with both front- and all-wheel drive.
