The 2028 Lamborghini Revuelto is taking shape as the Italian automaker prepares an update to its flagship supercar. Autoblog spies have captured a development mule that appears to preview a mid-cycle facelift, with redesigned front and rear fascias hidden beneath camouflage and decals.
2028 Lamborghini Revuelto Gets More Aggressive Styling
2027 will mark four years since the Lamborghini Revuelto was unveiled, putting the supercar close to its expected mid-cycle update. At first glance, the prototype appears to have few cosmetic differences from the current model.
A closer inspection, however, reveals that the Y-shaped LED daytime running lights on the bumper are decals. That suggests Lamborghini is concealing changes beneath the camouflage, including revisions to both the front and rear fascias.
The changes also come after the Revuelto SV was revealed, potentially establishing the design direction for an SVJ model later on.
Reworked Front Fascia
The updated Revuelto appears to have a more aggressive front end. While losing the Y-shaped DRLs could make the car resemble the smaller, less powerful Temerario, the overall fascia is being redesigned with additional strakes in the lower side intakes.
The intakes also appear less hexagonal than before. Meanwhile, the central opening has been widened and no longer has the current Revuelto’s central support, creating a wider appearance and making the front end look lower and sleeker.
The hood and side profile remain mostly unchanged, consistent with a facelift. However, the largest side intake now features a horizontal strake, a design element also repeated by the fin behind each front wheel.
Another notable change is the new intake on the car’s shoulder, which appears to replace the flying buttress found on the current model.
Major Changes at the Rear
The engine cover appears unchanged, but the rear fascia has undergone more substantial revisions. The diffuser replaces the two vertical strakes on either side of the license plate with a triple-element design that opens up the panel and moves the license plate holder slightly higher.
Three vertical elements sit on either side and connect with additional vanes extending from behind the rear tires. The prototype also features a new vent below each taillight.
The deployable rear wing now extends farther from the exhaust pipes, adding another visible difference from the current Revuelto.
Together, these changes could indicate that Lamborghini is significantly revising the facelift’s styling, developing a hotter variant, or doing both.
Could This Be a Lamborghini Revuelto S?
Autoblog suspects the prototype could be a Revuelto S. The publication points to the 1,050-horsepower Revuelto SV and notes that this prototype appears less extreme while still looking more aggressive than the regular 1,001-hp Revuelto.
Under that interpretation, the car would effectively be a facelift that Lamborghini markets as a new model. Autoblog compares the possibility with the original Urus being effectively replaced by the more powerful, plug-in hybrid Urus SE, suggesting a similar approach could bring more power under a new name.
2028 Lamborghini Revuelto Launch Timing
The update is not expected to arrive soon. Lamborghini is still accepting orders for the current Revuelto, while the facelift is expected to debut roughly a year from now, if not early in 2028.
