The Nissan Titan may have been discontinued, but the full-size pickup truck is still finding buyers in the U.S. Nissan sold three Titans in September, giving the discontinued truck 13 sales for the year.

The Titan Is Still Finding Buyers

The Titan first launched for the 2004 model year and remained in Nissan’s lineup for 20 years. After a second generation and a not-quite-heavy-duty sub-model, Nissan discontinued the Titan.

Despite that, three Titans were sold in September. The truck has now reached 13 sales for the year, even though Nissan stopped producing it a couple of years ago.

The Titan also managed to outsell Nissan’s GT-R in September. The GT-R, which ended its run in America with the 2024 model year and continued in Japan somewhat longer, recorded zero sales during the month.

Nissan has sold just two GT-Rs in the U.S. this year, meaning the discontinued Titan has more sales in 2026 despite no longer being produced.

Nissan Ariya Also Has Limited Sales

The Titan was not Nissan’s lowest-selling vehicle in September. The more recently discontinued Ariya electric SUV sold four units during the month.

The Ariya ended its run in America with the 2025 model year, although it remains available in other markets. Four units were sold in September, bringing its total for the year to 94.

Nissan Frontier Sales Rise 39.6% in 2026

The Titan’s sales struggles were a major reason Nissan discontinued the truck, but the automaker’s other body-on-frame vehicles are performing considerably better.

The Nissan Frontier recorded 23,412 sales in September, a 37.5% increase compared with September 2025. Its year-to-date sales have reached 66,513, up 39.6% from the same period last year.

The Frontier is a long-running Nissan pickup and a descendant of the company’s smaller pickup trucks that date back decades.

Nissan Armada Sales Also Climb

Nissan’s other body-on-frame model, at least for now, is the Armada. It also posted strong September results, with 6,356 units sold during the month.

That represented a 43.2% increase over September 2025. Through the same period this year, Armada sales have reached 16,361 vehicles, 29.8% higher than during the corresponding period last year.

While the discontinued Titan and GT-R are now selling in extremely small numbers, Nissan’s Frontier and Armada have posted substantial year-over-year sales increases.
