Honda posted a strong September sales performance, recording its best September since 2023 and its best third quarter since 2020. Including Acura, the company sold 121,796 vehicles last month, giving the brand momentum heading into the final quarter of 2026.

Honda Sales Rise in September

Honda sold 111,661 vehicles under the Honda brand in September, while Acura contributed another 10,135 units. The company reported a 15.9% month-to-date sales increase.

Third-quarter sales reached 392,341 units, up 9.3% from the same period last year.

CR-V Remains Honda’s Top Seller

The Honda CR-V continued to lead the brand’s sales lineup, with 34,788 units sold in September. The crossover’s performance came despite low-supply issues that lasted 17 days.

CR-V sales increased 21.9% from the 28,549 units sold in September 2025. Of the 34,788 CR-Vs sold last month, 18,521 were hybrids, accounting for 53% of the model’s sales mix.

Year-to-date CR-V sales have reached 336,844 units, representing a 9.5% increase.

Accord and Odyssey Post Major Gains

While the CR-V remained Honda’s sales leader, the Accord recorded an even larger month-to-date increase. Sales of the midsize sedan rose 27.7% in September, with Honda selling 16,507 units.

The Accord’s year-to-date sales total climbed to 145,521 units, up 32.7% compared with the same period last year.

The Odyssey posted Honda’s largest September sales increase among its models. Sales of the minivan jumped 66.4%, rising from 5,416 units in September 2025 to 9,012 last month.

Despite the September increase, Odyssey year-to-date sales remain down 7%.

Acura Reaches 100,000 Sales Early

Acura also delivered strong results despite wrapping up production of the current RDX ahead of the next-generation model. The luxury brand surpassed 100,000 sales after nine months this year, compared with ten months last year.

The ADX and MDX helped drive Acura’s performance. ADX sales rose 20.9% month-to-date to 2,701 units, while MDX sales reached 4,683 units, up 63.4%.

Year-to-date ADX sales increased 114.5% to 25,211 units, while MDX sales rose 25.2% to 38,597 units. The Integra also posted growth, with year-to-date sales up 37.3% and 20,100 units sold so far.

Honda Heads Into the Final Quarter With Growth

Honda’s overall unit sales currently stand at 1,149,261, marking a 4.7% year-to-date increase. The September results give the company a strong sales position heading into the final quarter of 2026, with the CR-V continuing to lead its lineup.
