Nissan Z Outsells Fiat and Alfa Romeo Combined

Despite the drop, the Nissan Z’s 834-unit total was enough to surpass the combined quarterly sales of Fiat and Alfa Romeo. Fiat sold 54 vehicles during Q3, compared with 321 during the same period in 2025, representing an 83% decline.

Alfa Romeo reported 569 sales across the Giulia, Stelvio and Tonale. That compares with 1,614 units sold the previous year, a 65% decline.

Combined, Fiat and Alfa Romeo sold 623 vehicles during the third quarter, 211 fewer than Nissan’s Z. Year-to-date, Alfa Romeo sales are down 52%, while Fiat is down 76%.

Alfa Romeo Looks Toward the 2026 Paris Motor Show

Alfa Romeo could have some help ahead, with notable debuts expected at the 2026 Paris Motor Show in mid-October. The event could include new special-edition trims for the Giulia and Stelvio.

A new Alfa Romeo concept called Cuorerosso is also scheduled to appear at the show. The concept is expected to be among the company’s featured introductions as Alfa Romeo heads into the event.

Nissan’s Rogue, Frontier and Armada Lead Sales Growth

Nissan’s latest quarterly results included stronger performances from the Rogue, Frontier and Armada. The Armada posted the largest year-over-year percentage increase, rising 43.2%.

Frontier sales increased 39.6% year-to-date, and the pickup remains the fastest-growing pickup truck in the U.S. Nissan also recorded sales of three “new” Titan full-size pickup trucks, despite the truck being canceled in 2024.

Infiniti Gains While Leaf Sales Decline

Nissan’s luxury division Infiniti also posted gains, with total sales increasing 20.4% year-over-year and 5.8% year-to-date.

The Leaf, however, recorded a significant decline. Sales fell 12.4% compared with the third quarter of 2025 and were down 50.1% year-to-date. Nissan sold 634 Leafs during Q3, putting the model relatively close to the discontinued Versa, which recorded 499 sales during the quarter.

Nissan’s overall retail sales continued to grow during the third quarter, led by trucks and SUVs, while the Z, Leaf and Stellantis’ Fiat and Alfa Romeo brands recorded notable declines.
