The MINI Countryman Untamed Edition brings a more rugged approach to MINI’s largest vehicle, adding increased ground clearance, all-terrain tires, revised exterior details and a roof tent developed with AUTOHOME. Although described as a concept, the special edition will be offered on multiple Countryman variants, including models available in North America.
MINI Countryman Untamed Edition Gets Major Changes
The new MINI Countryman Untamed Edition stands apart with a redesigned front grille featuring upright elements and an exclusive Dark Steel finish around the grille. The same color appears on the MINI emblems, Countryman lettering and other exterior details.
The side sills have also been redesigned, while the front and rear underbody protection plates receive new designs. MINI adds textured matte black film to the side sills, hood and wheel arches to help reduce damage from scratches.
The Untamed Edition uses 19-inch Spoke alloy wheels finished in high-gloss black. The wheels are styled after resilient steel wheels, while their center cap wordmark is finished in Dark Steel.
MINI offers several exterior colors inspired by earthy tones, including Hideaway Grey, Nomad Blue and Frozen Nomad Blue. Frozen Nomad Blue is the first matte finish ever applied to a series-production MINI. Nanuq White and Midnight Black are also available, while buyers can choose a Glazed White or Jet Black roof. An Untamed logo on the C-pillar completes the exterior treatment.
More Ground Clearance and All-Terrain Tires
The Untamed Edition receives a 15-millimeter lift along with specially developed Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tires, bringing total ground clearance to 19 mm.
In North America, the all-terrain tires will be standard equipment. Europe will offer them as an option, while other regions will be able to access them through MINI’s aftersales department.
MINI has recalibrated the anti-lock braking, dynamic stability control and steering systems to accommodate the new tires. Combined with ALL4 all-wheel drive, the setup is designed to give the Countryman Untamed Edition greater capability for reaching campsites.
The roof can support loads of up to 165 pounds while driving and up to 661 pounds while stationary. In the U.S., a factory trailer hitch will also be standard, allowing a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds.
MINI Countryman Untamed Interior
Inside, the Untamed Edition features Vescin Nightshade Blue sports seats with perforated fabric and knitted upholstery. The seat design includes Cornflower Blue stitching and an Untamed logo, with MINI saying the styling is inspired by rock formations.
The knitted finish continues across the dashboard and door panels in dark grey and blue. Interior accents that are normally finished in Vibrant Silver instead receive Dark Steel and Cornflower Blue treatments.
Cornflower Blue also appears on a strap at the base of the steering wheel, the steering wheel spokes and other areas, including the redesigned center console storage cubby. Rubber all-weather floor mats and a cargo area mat feature additional rock-inspired patterns.
MINI Countryman Untamed Edition U.S. Pricing and Launch
Production of the MINI Countryman Untamed Edition is expected to begin in November, with a global market launch scheduled for early 2027.
In the U.S., the special edition will be based on the Countryman S ALL4 and Countryman SE ALL4. Pricing for the gas-powered model will start at $43,900, excluding the $1,350 destination charge, while pricing for the EV will be announced later.
Because MINI is basing the Untamed Edition on the Signature Plus trim rather than the entry-level Oxford Edition, the upgrades are priced at $1,600. The package combines the Countryman’s existing format with additional rugged styling, increased ground clearance, all-terrain tires and equipment aimed at outdoor use.
