A nearly new 2027 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X convertible has sold for $441,000 on Bring a Trailer, despite carrying a $296,100 window sticker when new. The sale represents a $144,900 premium, or nearly 49 percent above the original sticker price, for a dealer-sold car showing just five miles on its odometer.
The Corvette ZR1X Packs 1,250 Horsepower
The black-over-Adrenaline Red ZR1X is a 3LZ convertible equipped with the $13,000 Carbon Fiber Aero Package, $16,000 carbon-fiber wheels and the ZTK Performance Track Package.
The car also features carbon-ceramic brakes, a front-axle lift system, GT2 bucket seats and a carbon-fiber retractable hardtop.
Power comes from Chevrolet’s twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter LT7 V8 paired with an electric motor that drives the front wheels. Its hybrid all-wheel-drive system produces 1,250 horsepower and 973 lb-ft of torque.
Chevrolet claims the ZR1X can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 1.89 seconds and complete the quarter-mile in 8.99 seconds at 157 mph. Those performance figures place the Corvette firmly in hypercar territory, along with the dealer premiums seen on these cars.
A $144,900 Premium Over Sticker
The $441,000 auction result is not the first time a nearly new ZR1X has commanded a major premium. A 2027 ZR1X coupe with only eight miles sold on Bring a Trailer for $402,000 in September, despite carrying a $290,289 sticker price.
The latest convertible sale brought $39,000 more than that earlier coupe, even though both vehicles were essentially brand-new dealer cars.
The ZR1X’s $441,000 Auction Result
The $441,000 sale price does not mean the ZR1X carries a $441,000 price at a Chevrolet showroom. Instead, the auction result shows how much buyers have been willing to pay to acquire one of the newest high-performance Corvette models.
For the buyer of this five-mile ZR1X convertible, the car now leaves the auction with a substantial premium over its original $296,100 window sticker.
