Ford is recalling 102,159 F-Series trucks from the 2025 and 2026 model years because instrument cluster gauges may become stuck or move erratically, potentially giving drivers inaccurate readings. The recall covers vehicles ranging from the F-150 to the F-750 Super Duty, and the repair requires a dealership visit because the faulty module cannot be fixed with an over-the-air software update.

The recall affects multiple F-Series models and follows a year in which Ford had already reached 80 recalls.

Which Ford F-Series Trucks Are Affected?

The recall covers 91,588 F-Super Duty trucks from the 2025 and 2026 model years. These include 43,300 F-250s, 26,354 F-350s, 6,847 F-450s and 2,827 F-600s manufactured between December 14, 2024, and April 17, 2026.

The recall also includes 10,570 2026 Ford F-150 pickups produced between August 22, 2025, and May 12, 2026. One 2026 F-750 Super Duty manufactured on November 21, 2025, is also affected, bringing the total to 102,159 vehicles.

What Caused the Ford Gauge Problems?

The issue first came to Ford’s Critical Concern Review Group on May 28, 2026. The automaker determined that supplier process deficiencies at Visteon Corporation were responsible for the malfunctioning gauges.

The defect can cause analog gauge needles to stick or move erratically. Because the problem involves a module inside the instrument cluster, a software update alone will not resolve it.

Ford determined that the defect did not strictly make the speedometers noncompliant with federal requirements for vehicle controls and displays. However, the company concluded that inaccurate readings could undermine the purpose of those requirements by preventing drivers from receiving accurate speed information.

The recall addresses concerns that irregular gauge behavior could distract drivers or make it difficult for them to determine how fast they are traveling.

How Ford Will Repair the Recalled Trucks

The repair involves replacing a module inside the instrument cluster rather than the entire cluster. Dealerships have already been informed of the required procedure.

Owners can check their vehicle identification numbers (VINs) online to determine whether their trucks are included in the recall.

Ford plans to notify affected owners by mail between October 26 and October 30. However, replacement parts are expected to become available for installation in customer vehicles between December 7 and December 11.

What Ford F-Series Owners Need to Know

The recall affects 102,159 trucks across the F-Series lineup, including the F-150 and several Super Duty models. Owners of affected vehicles will need to visit a dealership to have the instrument cluster module replaced, with repair parts expected to become available in December.
