The new Hyundai Tucson is showing a more affordable side with the entry-level H-Pick trim, which combines smaller wheels, a simpler interior and a substantial list of standard equipment. Priced from 31.4 million Korean won, or approximately $22,800, the base model retains key styling features, modern infotainment technology and a range of driver-assistance systems.

Hyundai Tucson H-Pick Gets Smaller Wheels and a Simpler Look

The H-Pick trim takes a less elaborate approach than the higher-spec versions of the new Hyundai Tucson. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels instead of the larger wheels offered on more expensive models, while its squared-off bodywork and distinctive lighting preserve the SUV’s bold appearance.

The smaller wheels are paired with thicker tires, giving the Tucson a more rugged look and potentially improving ride comfort on damaged pavement. Replacement tires may also cost less than those designed for larger wheels, although the final price depends on the tire brand and size.

The Tucson retains full LED lighting, including the headlights, daytime running lights and taillights, along with its signature horizontal lighting strips. Chunky wheel-arch cladding adds to the outdoors-inspired appearance, while large TUCSON lettering spans the tailgate.

Buyers can also choose from several paint options, including Shimmering Silver Metallic.

Inside, the Tucson Keeps Its Essential Technology

The entry-level Hyundai Tucson features a black faux-leather interior and a straightforward dashboard layout. Its 12.9-inch Pleos Connect screen is smaller than the displays in top trims, but it still includes navigation, Bluetooth, wireless phone pairing and over-the-air updates.

Traditional knobs and buttons remain available, allowing drivers to adjust the temperature without navigating through touchscreen menus.

Despite its position at the bottom of the lineup, the H-Pick includes a broad range of standard equipment. Features include heated front seats, a surround-view camera, a smart key with remote start, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, rear air vents and USB-C ports.

Standard Driver-Assistance Features Include Highway Driving Assist

The entry-level Tucson also comes with an extensive collection of driver-assistance technology. Standard features include Highway Driving Assist, lane-keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control, forward collision avoidance and rear cross-traffic alerts.

These features add to the model’s standard equipment, alongside its infotainment system and cabin amenities.

New Hyundai Tucson H-Pick Starts at Approximately $22,800

Power comes from a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine paired with front-wheel drive. The engine’s horsepower output has not been specified.

The starting price is 31.4 million Korean won, equivalent to approximately $22,800 using a rough currency conversion. The entry-level model combines that price with standard safety technology, a large infotainment display and a well-equipped cabin.

U.S. Pricing and Equipment Remain Unconfirmed

The South Korean starting price does not establish what the new Hyundai Tucson would cost in the United States. If a comparable version is offered in the U.S. market, its final price would depend on factors including equipment, taxes, production costs, exchange rates and pricing strategy.

The H-Pick name and its specific features may also differ in the U.S. lineup. The entry-level trim offers a look at a more affordable version of the redesigned Tucson, but its availability and pricing in the American market remain unconfirmed.
