The 2027 Jeep Compass is getting additional standard safety and convenience features, along with four new exterior color options, but buyers will pay more for the updated compact SUV. Its starting price has increased by $2,435 compared with the 2026 model, bringing the base MSRP to $31,985 before destination charges, options and other fees.
The price increase comes as Compass sales have declined over the course of the year, with higher pricing drawing some of the blame. Rather than lowering prices, Stellantis is adding equipment and expanding customization options as the Jeep Compass competes with rivals such as the Toyota RAV4.
2027 Jeep Compass Pricing and Standard Features
The 2027 Jeep Compass starts at $31,985, excluding the $1,995 destination charge. That compares with a starting MSRP of $29,550 for the 2026 model, also excluding destination, bringing the minimum price of the new model to $33,980 before options or additional fees.
Stellantis is justifying the $2,435 increase with additional standard equipment and more exterior color choices. The Toyota RAV4, another compact crossover experiencing a sales decline, starts at $31,900 for the 2026 model year, plus a $1,595 destination charge.
One of the most significant updates for 2027 is the addition of adaptive cruise control as standard equipment across every Compass trim.
The midrange Limited, Limited Altitude and Trailhawk trims also gain a wireless charging pad and USB ports for second-row passengers. Buyers can further upgrade these models with optional packages that add lighting and driver-assistance features.
Optional Packages Add Lighting and Driver Assistance
The available Premium Lighting Group adds LED headlights, taillights and fog lights to the Limited, Limited Altitude and Trailhawk trims.
Another option, the Driver Assist Package, includes a 360-degree camera and a garage door opener. These additions expand the available convenience and driver-assistance equipment on the updated Compass.
Stellantis has also highlighted a smaller price gap between the base Latitude and the Latitude Altitude. The latter starts at $32,980 before destination, leaving a difference of $995 between the two trims.
That gap is considerably narrower than the $2,115 difference between the corresponding 2026 models. The Latitude Altitude previously added blacked-out exterior and interior elements, painted wheels and contrast stitching.
2027 Jeep Compass Trim Prices Remain Partially Unannounced
Stellantis has not released a complete pricing breakdown for every 2027 Jeep Compass trim. However, all 2026 versions are expected to carry over except the 85th Anniversary Edition.
The returning lineup includes the Limited, previously priced from $33,500, the Trailhawk, starting at $34,000, and the Limited Altitude, starting at $36,000. These figures are the previously listed starting prices, and a complete breakdown of the new model year’s trim pricing has not been provided.
New 2027 Jeep Compass Colors Expand the Lineup
The Jeep Compass already offers a broad exterior color palette, including Joose, Diamond Black, Bright White, Sting Gray, Red Hot, Hydro Blue and Fathom Blue.
For the 2027 model year, Jeep is adding four more colors: Ghost, Copper Shino, ’41 and Goldilocks. Availability for the new hues has yet to be confirmed.
Engine, Towing Capacity and Availability
The Mexico-built 2027 Jeep Compass continues to use the same engine across all trims: a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder producing 200 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque.
The SUV also retains a standard towing capacity of 2,000 pounds. No additional engine options were announced as part of the 2027 update.
Orders for the 2027 Jeep Compass are currently open, but Stellantis has not announced when customer deliveries will begin.
New Jeep Compass Production Planned for Illinois
Later in 2027, marking the Compass’s 20th anniversary, production of a new model is scheduled to begin in Belvidere, Illinois. The vehicle is expected to arrive for the 2028 model year.
For now, the 2027 Jeep Compass combines a higher starting price with additional standard features, new color choices and expanded convenience options. Whether future domestic production will bring prices down remains uncertain.
