The Toyota Crown Signia GT-S Concept introduces a more aggressive, performance-focused design for Toyota’s five-passenger hybrid SUV ahead of the 2026 SEMA Show. The concept features a lowered suspension, upgraded brakes, wider tires and distinctive styling changes while retaining the standard model’s powertrain.
The Crown Signia occupies a unique position in Toyota’s SUV lineup, offering features comparable to entry-level Lexus vehicles in a smaller package than models such as the Grand Highlander and Sequoia. With the GT-S concept, Toyota is exploring a sportier interpretation of the SUV without changing its engine or hybrid system.
Toyota Crown Signia GT-S Concept Gets a Lower Suspension
The GT-S concept is designed to improve the Crown Signia’s handling, particularly on curvy back roads. It features custom MCS coilovers that lower the vehicle by nearly 5.0 inches compared with the standard model.
The suspension changes are accompanied by larger brakes from the Lexus RX 500h F Sport. The upgrades give the concept a more performance-oriented setup.
The SUV rides on 21-inch HRE wheels featuring bronze center sections, Y-shaped spokes and polished metallic rims. Its 295-millimeter-wide tires provide roughly 20% more contact patch than the existing model.
More Aggressive Exterior Styling
Toyota has revised the Crown Signia’s appearance with a body kit that includes front-fender vents, a rear diffuser and trapezoidal exhaust outlets. These additions give the hybrid SUV a more aggressive visual identity.
The exterior features a custom dark gray paint mixture with added metallic flakes and an extra clear coat. Dark red accents appear on the hood tip, badges and mirrors, adding contrast to the body color.
The concept’s styling changes extend into the cabin, although the interior remains largely unchanged. The gearshift features a red accent with bold white GT-S lettering, while the bolstered front seats receive red trim and GT-S badges on their headrests.
Under the hood, the powertrain remains unchanged. The only engine-related addition is a new GT-S engine cover.
2027 Toyota Crown Signia Engine and Performance
The 2027 Toyota Crown Signia is available in two trim levels: XLE and Limited. Both versions use a hybrid-assisted 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with front and rear electric motors, producing a combined 238 horsepower.
An electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (CVT) is the only available gearbox. The Crown Signia can accelerate from zero to 60 miles per hour in 7.1 seconds and delivers a combined fuel economy rating of 38 miles per gallon.
The GT-S concept retains the standard powertrain, focusing its changes on suspension, braking, wheels, tires and styling rather than additional engine output.
2027 Toyota Crown Signia Prices and Features
The 2027 Toyota Crown Signia XLE starts at $44,890, plus a $1,595 destination fee. The Limited trim is priced at $51,155.
Both grades include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen. The Limited adds rain-sensing windshield wipers, 21-inch wheels, a fixed panoramic glass roof and a digital rearview mirror.
The Limited also offers a more advanced driver-safety technology suite. Features include front and rear parking assist with automatic braking, traffic jam assist, front cross-traffic alert, a panoramic view monitor with a 360-degree overhead view and lane change assist.
A Sportier Vision for Toyota’s Hybrid SUV
The Toyota Crown Signia GT-S Concept combines a substantially lowered ride height, upgraded braking hardware, wider tires and distinctive exterior and interior details. By retaining the standard hybrid powertrain, the concept focuses on changing the SUV’s handling setup and appearance for its debut at the 2026 SEMA Show.
