The 2027 BMW X3 M50 now produces 437 horsepower while maintaining its torque rating of 428 lb-ft. That’s an increase of 44 horsepower compared with the current model’s 393 horsepower.
BMW claims the updated crossover can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4 seconds. The new power rating also matches that of the M350, bringing the X3 M50 in line with the new 3 Series in terms of horsepower.
The additional output represents a notable performance upgrade for the X3 M50, particularly for buyers considering the current model. The updated vehicle’s official acceleration estimate remains 4 seconds.
2027 BMW X3 M50 Price Rises by Just $1,000
The current BMW X3 M50 starts at $66,500, with an additional $1,350 destination charge. For 2027, the starting price increases to $67,500, a difference of $1,000.
The relatively small price increase accompanies the 44-horsepower gain. Based on the difference in starting prices and engine output, buyers are paying approximately $23 for each additional horsepower.
BMW Black Package Costs an Extra $3,800
Buyers do not need to purchase the Black Package to receive the additional horsepower in the 2027 X3 M50. The performance upgrade is part of the updated model.
Those who want a blacked-out appearance can choose the Black Package for an additional $3,800. The cosmetic option costs significantly more than the $1,000 price increase associated with the power upgrade.
Will the BMW X3 30 Receive More Power?
BMW has not announced updated power figures for the X3 30. With no changes confirmed, its current horsepower and torque outputs are assumed to carry over to the 2027 model.
