eBay is bringing four gaming-inspired vehicles to the 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, including a red 1992 BMW 325i Convertible. The classic BMW will join three other vehicles in the eBay Most Wanted Collection, with all four cars set to be auctioned during the company’s first marquee vehicle livestream on November 5.
Bidding will start at $6.00 for each vehicle, and all auction proceeds will benefit Susan G. Komen. Although eBay has not identified the specific video games that inspired the collection, the BMW’s nickname, “The Classic Getaway,” has drawn attention to a possible connection with the Grand Theft Auto series.
A 1992 BMW E30 Convertible Joins the eBay Most Wanted Collection
The red BMW 325i Convertible is part of the second-generation BMW 3 Series, known internally as the E30. Produced from 1982 to 1994, the generation expanded the 3 Series lineup with additional body styles, including BMW’s first factory-built 3 Series Convertible, which arrived in 1986.
The open-top model helped establish the E30 as one of the most recognizable generations of BMW’s compact sports sedan. Its appearance in eBay’s collection brings a classic performance car to an event centered on customized vehicles and automotive culture.
The BMW will be displayed alongside three other vehicles: a 2022 Chevrolet Corvette C8, a 2006 Dodge Viper and a 1975 Chevrolet Nova. All four are part of the eBay Most Wanted Collection and will be available through the same auction event.
When the SEMA 2026 Car Auction Begins
The auction is scheduled for November 5 at noon Pacific time, broadcasting live from the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Each vehicle will have a starting bid of $6.00.
Actor and automotive enthusiast Sung Kang will co-host the livestream with automotive creator Hertrech “Hert” Eugene Jr. The hosts will introduce the vehicles, discuss the collection’s inspiration and interact with viewers as the bidding progresses.
According to eBay, viewers will be able to watch through its live shopping platform and place bids in real time. The company’s Most Wanted page also allows fans to preview the vehicles and set a reminder for the event.
Is the BMW E30 Connected to Grand Theft Auto 6?
eBay has not disclosed which video games inspired the four vehicles, nor has it linked each car to a specific title. The BMW’s possible connection to Grand Theft Auto 6 remains unconfirmed, even though footage from the game features a convertible resembling the E30.
The company’s choice of nickname, “The Classic Getaway,” may suggest a gaming connection, but eBay has not stated that Grand Theft Auto 6 inspired the BMW’s customization.
Instead, eBay describes the collection as an effort to bring the virtual garages familiar to gamers into the real world. The company says it sourced all four vehicles through its marketplace and customized select cars using parts and accessories available there.
Although the E30 has no officially confirmed connection to a particular game, its customization theme fits the broader gaming focus of the collection and the automotive culture surrounding SEMA.
Auction Proceeds Will Benefit Susan G. Komen
All proceeds from the four vehicle auctions will go to Susan G. Komen. Kang said the cause is personally meaningful to him and described the collection as a way to bring automotive enthusiasts together through shared interests, community and the search for parts.
The collection also highlights the role of automotive marketplaces in finding components and accessories for customized vehicles, connecting the online parts hunt with the hands-on culture represented at SEMA.
