Lamborghini is expanding its limited-production special editions with the Temerario Tettonero, a model that combines distinctive black exterior accents with the brand’s high-performance plug-in hybrid powertrain. Based on the standard Temerario, the Tettonero introduces exclusive styling details inspired by the fashion concept of capsule collections while retaining the car’s 907-horsepower output.
Lamborghini Temerario Tettonero Gets a Dramatic Black Finish
Lamborghini’s capsule collection strategy focuses on limited-production, pre-configured models that combine versatility with distinctive styling. The Urus Pearl Capsule was the first example, followed by the Temerario Tettonero, which stands out through its extensive use of contrasting black paint.
The Tettonero begins as a standard Temerario before Lamborghini’s Centro Stile design department transforms its appearance. Buyers can choose from five exterior colors: Giallo Inti yellow, Arancio Xanto orange, Blu Cephus blue, Verde Scandal green and Viola Pasifae purple.
Regardless of the selected body color, the roof and engine cover receive a Nero Noctis finish. Lamborghini’s non-metallic gloss black paint creates a dramatic contrast with the brighter exterior colors and serves as the defining feature of the special edition.
The black treatment extends beyond the roof and engine cover. The headlight housings, front and rear bumpers, side mirrors and wheels also receive gloss black finishes, giving the Temerario Tettonero a distinctive appearance.
Optional Black Stripes Echo the Original Lamborghini Miura
Buyers can further distinguish the Temerario Tettonero with optional black stinger stripes that emphasize the sculpted hood’s Countach-inspired design. The stripes also create a visual connection to the original Lamborghini Miura.
The Miura featured prominent black accents around its headlights and on its hood vents, along with a black louvered rear window. Similar contrasting details help establish a visual link between the classic Lamborghini and the modern Temerario Tettonero.
The special edition’s styling centers on its contrasting upper bodywork, with the combination of black surfaces and colorful paint giving the car a distinctive appearance.
Inside the Temerario Tettonero
The cabin features a single-tone Nero Ade black interior complemented by contrasting stitching and decorative details. Gray stitching appears on the seat bolsters, while the seat centers feature hexagonal Q-Citura accents matched to the car’s exterior color.
The Lamborghini shield is embroidered on each headrest, and the rear bulkhead features a stitched motif depicting the car’s distinctive, angular rear design.
A matte carbon plaque on the driver’s side of the cabin identifies the Temerario Tettonero’s limited-production status, adding another exclusive detail to the interior.
Does the Lamborghini Temerario Tettonero Have More Power?
Despite its extensive visual changes, the Temerario Tettonero retains the mechanical setup of the standard Lamborghini Temerario. Its name literally translates to “black-roofed,” reflecting the contrasting roof treatment rather than any changes to the powertrain.
The plug-in hybrid system combines a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine with a flat-plane crankshaft and three electric motors. Two electric motors are mounted on the front axle, while the third sits at the rear.
The combined system produces 907 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque, giving the Tettonero the same power output as the Temerario on which it is based.
A High-Revving Hybrid Powertrain
The Temerario’s powertrain delivers its performance seamlessly on the open road. Its redline exceeds 10,000 rpm, providing drivers with an opportunity to experience the engine’s high-revving character during hard acceleration on a straightaway.
Despite its advanced hybrid technology, the Temerario retains an aggressive performance character. Its powertrain and high-revving engine remain central to the driving experience, allowing the car to deliver an intense response when pushed hard.
The Lamborghini Temerario Tettonero focuses on exclusive styling rather than mechanical upgrades, combining a black-accented exterior, distinctive interior details and the standard model’s 907-horsepower plug-in hybrid system in a limited-production package.
