Karma Automotive has unveiled the Eximius 1, a track-focused super sedan producing nearly 1,200 horsepower from a plug-in hybrid-assisted V8 powertrain. The four-door model is the first vehicle developed under the automaker’s new Eximius bespoke vehicle program and was built for a client seeking something more extreme and unexpected.
Karma Eximius 1 Delivers Nearly 1,200 Horsepower
The Eximius 1 combines a 6.2-liter V8 engine with plug-in hybrid assistance to generate approximately 1,200 horsepower. The combustion engine produces 550 horsepower, while the electrified portion contributes another 645 hp.
The sedan is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds, with an estimated top speed exceeding 200 mph.
Its track-focused hardware includes carbon-ceramic brakes with two-piece slotted rotors and a semi-active suspension system from Öhlins.
Eximius 1 Gets Aggressive Exterior Styling
Although its underlying platform has not been officially confirmed, the Eximius 1 appears to be based on the Revero.
The sedan features extensively revised styling, including a redesigned front end with large openings in the fascia and small vents at the tip of the hood. A pair of exhaust outlets sits just behind the driver’s side front wheel, while a large rear wing adds to its aggressive appearance.
The exterior is finished in Borealis Blue, with a gradient treatment across the doors and hood that transitions from blue paint to gloss-finished exposed carbon fiber.
The car rides on satin-black, center-locking 21-inch magnesium wheels.
Karma Eximius 1 Interior Features
The interior has not yet been revealed, but several cabin details have been confirmed.
The Eximius 1 features Recaro carbon-fiber seats finished in blue Alcantara and matching Italian leather. Blue-tinted carbon-fiber trim appears on the steering wheel and doors.
The instrument panel combines gloss-finished carbon fiber with anodized billet aluminum HVAC vents, adding to the cabin’s performance-focused design.
A Bespoke Super Sedan Built for a Specific Client
The Eximius 1 was created for an individual customer through Karma Automotive’s new Eximius bespoke vehicle program.
The client wanted something “more extreme and unexpected,” leading to a high-performance sedan that combines a plug-in hybrid-assisted V8 powertrain, distinctive styling and track-focused components.
