Minivan sales are continuing to climb in 2026, with Toyota, Kia and Honda reporting strong October results. The Toyota Sienna and Kia Carnival are gaining ground, while the Honda Odyssey delivered a major monthly rebound, narrowing its year-to-date sales decline.
Toyota Sienna Sales Climb Toward the Leader
The Chrysler Pacifica remains the minivan segment’s sales leader. Through September, its total had exceeded 100,000 units, representing a 12% increase over 2025.
Toyota is steadily closing the gap. The Sienna recorded 10,934 sales in October, a 29.1% increase compared with October 2025. Its year-to-date total reached 95,704 units through October.
The Sienna’s sales growth has also accelerated. Its year-to-date increase reached 13.5% through October, compared with 11.7% through September.
Although Toyota remains behind the Pacifica’s September total, the Sienna is gaining ground as its sales continue to grow.
Kia Carnival Delivers Strong Year-Over-Year Growth
The Kia Carnival recorded 69,291 sales through October, representing a 19.8% improvement over the same period last year.
Kia sold 7,751 Carnivals in October alone, a 17.4% increase compared with October 2025.
Despite remaining behind its competitors in total sales, the Carnival continues to make progress and is moving closer to the Honda Odyssey’s year-to-date sales figure.
Honda Odyssey Rebounds With a Strong October
The Honda Odyssey has struggled to keep pace with the minivan segment’s growth this year. From February through July, its monthly sales declined compared with the corresponding months in 2025.
That extended downturn left the Odyssey behind last year’s pace, with 73,118 units sold through October. The total puts the Kia Carnival within reach of overtaking it.
However, the Odyssey delivered a strong October rebound. Honda sold 7,202 units during the month, a 32.2% increase over October 2025, marking the largest monthly sales gain among its competitors.
The improved performance narrowed the Odyssey’s year-to-date sales decline to 4.2% compared with 2025.
Minivan Sales Continue to Gain Momentum
October’s results highlight continued growth across several major minivan models. The Toyota Sienna is closing in on the segment leader, the Kia Carnival is gaining ground on Honda, and the Odyssey is showing signs of recovery after months of declining sales.
With sales climbing across the segment, competition among the leading minivans continues to intensify.
