2027 Nissan Z Receives Styling Updates
Nissan has refreshed the Z for the 2027 model year with a revised front-end design, retro-inspired styling cues, and new exterior color choices.
Sport and Performance models receive a redesigned front bumper and grille featuring a body-colored crossbar inspired by classic Z models while also improving aerodynamics. The traditional Nissan badge has been replaced with a classic Z emblem, and the Performance trim now rides on forged 19-inch wheels with machined lips and black centers.
The lineup also introduces a new Shinkai Green Pearl Metallic exterior finish inspired by the original S30 Z. Performance models can be paired with a tan interior, and wireless smartphone charging with an integrated cooling fan is now included.
Chassis and Mechanical Improvements
Beyond the exterior changes, Nissan has updated the chassis across the lineup. The Performance trim receives upgraded shock absorbers designed to improve ride quality and body control.
Every 2027 Nissan Z also features a redesigned fuel tank intended to maintain fuel delivery during high-G driving conditions.
Manual Transmission Comes to the Z NISMO
The most significant update is reserved for the Z NISMO. For the first time, Nissan is offering the high-performance model with a six-speed manual transmission at no additional cost.
The manual-equipped Z NISMO also includes a stronger clutch, a shorter-throw shifter, GT-R-inspired two-piece brake rotors that reduce unsprung weight by 19 pounds, and revised steering and suspension designed to deliver greater precision on both the road and the track.
Pricing Increases for Every Trim
Every version of the 2027 Nissan Z costs $1,510 more than its 2026 counterpart. Nissan has kept the destination and handling charge unchanged at $1,245.
