Toyota has introduced a new exterior color called Honeycomb for its 2027 TRD Pro lineup, giving several of its off-road models a distinctive new look. The fresh yellow finish joins the brand’s growing palette of TRD Pro-exclusive colors while arriving alongside a handful of equipment updates for the latest model year.
New Honeycomb Paint Joins the 2027 TRD Pro Lineup
Toyota’s newest TRD Pro color is a yellow finish known as Honeycomb. The paint changes appearance depending on the lighting, taking on an almost eggshell or satin look in the shade before becoming noticeably brighter in direct sunlight.
The new finish is more subdued than the previous TRD Pro-exclusive color, WaveMaker, while still offering a distinctive appearance. Honeycomb is available on the 2027 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro and 2027 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro.
Hot Honey Offered on Tacoma and 4Runner TRD Pro
The 2027 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro and 2027 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro receive a closely related color called Hot Honey. Although Toyota distinguishes the two shades with separate names, both display a similar appearance, particularly under the setting sun.
2027 Tundra and Sequoia TRD Pro Receive Additional Updates
Beyond the new paint options, Toyota has introduced several incremental updates for the 2027 Tundra TRD Pro and Sequoia TRD Pro.
The models now come standard with red tow hooks and Fox-enhanced QS3 adjustable shocks. In addition, the ISO-Dynamic seats with rear air shocks are now available on the Tundra.
Toyota has not yet introduced the anticipated TRD Hammer pickup, but the latest updates expand the equipment available across the current TRD Pro lineup.
A Brighter Direction for Toyota’s Off-Road Models
The Honeycomb and Hot Honey finishes add new color choices to Toyota’s TRD Pro family while offering a more restrained appearance than the previously offered Solar Octane orange. Alongside the latest suspension and equipment upgrades, the new paint options provide another update for Toyota’s 2027 off-road models.
