Genesis has announced pricing for the 2027 GV60 Magma, revealing the final major detail for the first model in its new Magma performance lineup. The electric performance SUV starts at $69,950, before a $1,545 destination fee, positioning it as the most expensive GV60 to date while remaining relatively close in price to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N.
Genesis Confirms GV60 Magma Pricing
Genesis first unveiled the GV60 Magma last year but did not disclose its price. The company has now confirmed the performance EV will carry a starting MSRP of $69,950, excluding destination charges.
The pricing announcement comes shortly after Hyundai reduced the starting price of the 2027 Ioniq 5 N to $59,900, a decrease of $6,300 from the previous model year. While the two vehicles target different buyers, they share the same Hyundai Motor Group platform and are designed for drivers seeking high-performance electric vehicles.
More Than a Luxury Performance EV
The GV60 Magma features a revised dual-motor all-wheel-drive system that produces more than 600 horsepower. Activating Boost Mode increases output to 641 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque.
Performance-focused equipment includes an electronic limited-slip differential, model-specific aerodynamic enhancements, forged 21-inch wheels with larger tires, and exclusive Magma suspension and chassis tuning.
Like the Ioniq 5 N, the GV60 Magma includes Virtual Gear Shift, which simulates gear changes, and Active Sound Design+, which generates synthetic engine sounds inspired by the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Drivers can also select from GT Mode, Sprint Mode, Launch Control, Drift Mode, and Boost Mode.
Performance Cabin With Premium Technology
Inside, the GV60 Magma introduces Genesis’ first performance bucket seats, finished in suede with Magma Orange stitching.
The cabin also includes a 27-inch OLED display, a Bang & Olufsen audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and a comprehensive suite of driver-assistance technologies.
Deliveries Begin in Select U.S. States
Genesis said the 2027 GV60 Magma will arrive at select dealerships in California, New York, and New Jersey within the next few weeks. Buyers will be able to choose from four exterior colors, including the signature Magma Orange.
The GV60 Magma is the first vehicle in Genesis’ new Magma performance family. The automaker has already confirmed the performance badge will expand to additional models, with the G80 Magma Special previewing what is planned for the lineup. According to Genesis, future Magma models will combine the brand’s luxury focus with enhanced performance and driving dynamics, including vehicles beyond the EV segment.
