The 2026 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid has been named a Top Finisher in the Cars.com 2026 Best Cars for Car Seats annual report, marking the second consecutive year the SUV has received the distinction. Hyundai Motor America announced the recognition on July 30, highlighting the Tucson Hybrid’s strong performance in Cars.com’s hands-on car seat evaluations.
Tucson Hybrid Recognized for Car Seat Performance
According to Hyundai Motor America, the Tucson Hybrid earned Top Finisher honors after receiving four A grades and one B on its Cars.com car seat report card.
The designation is awarded to vehicles that perform exceptionally well during Cars.com’s Car Seat Checks, which evaluate how different types of child safety seats fit inside a vehicle. The assessment includes infant and booster seats, rear- and forward-facing installations, and the accessibility of LATCH anchors.
Cars.com tested 56 model-year 2026 vehicles to determine this year’s Best Cars for Car Seats honor roll.
Hyundai Highlights Safety Recognition
Hyundai said the recognition reflects its focus on designing vehicle interiors and seating layouts that support proper child seat compatibility and performance.

Standard Safety Features
The 2026 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid comes equipped with a range of standard safety technologies, including Forward Collision Warning Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, High Beam Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Forward Attention Warning, Hillstart Assist, and Rear Occupant Alert (door logic).
The SUV also features standard pretensioners and load limiters for the front and rear outboard passenger seatbelts.
Cars.com Evaluates Family-Friendly Design
Jennifer Newman, Cars.com editor in chief and certified child passenger safety technician, said the Tucson Hybrid is well suited for smaller families.
