The BMW iX3 takes on a prominent role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, marking another collaboration between the automotive and film industries. The appearance comes as BMW prepares to launch the all-electric SUV in the United States, highlighting the company’s next-generation Neue Klasse platform.
BMW iX3 Joins Spider-Man’s Latest Adventure
Automakers have long used major films to showcase new vehicles, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues that tradition. Previous Marvel productions featured vehicles such as the Audi R8 driven by Tony Stark, while the animated Spider-Verse films highlighted Hyundai’s Ioniq lineup.
In the newest Spider-Man installment, the BMW iX3 and the BMW 5 Series Sedan appear on screen. The iX3 is BMW’s first series-production vehicle built on the company’s next-generation, EV-dedicated Neue Klasse platform, making its role in the film particularly notable as both the character and the vehicle represent new beginnings.
BMW Expands the Collaboration Beyond the Movie
The partnership extends beyond the film itself. Compatible BMW vehicles can access the Spider-Man Animation, which includes a full-screen animation on the Control Display, synchronized music, and an ambient lighting sequence.
The feature is available in more than 70 countries from July 27 through August 10 for suitably equipped BMW models built after July 2020 and running Operating System 7, 8, 8.5, 9, or X.
BMW has also created a one-off model called the iX3 Flow – Spider-Man Brand New Day. Developed in collaboration with Sony and Marvel, the vehicle features dynamic graphics and full-color E Ink Prism elements designed to bring Spider-Man’s visual style to its exterior. The special edition will be displayed at BMW Welt in Munich, Germany, through September.
BMW iX3 U.S. Launch Details
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released exclusively in theaters on July 31, 2026. The BMW iX3 is scheduled to enter the U.S. market on September 25, with its online configurator and reservation portal already available.
The electric SUV starts at $61,500, excluding destination charges.
Range, Charging, and Competition
The BMW iX3 delivers an estimated driving range of up to 434 miles based on preliminary testing using EPA testing procedures. It can recharge its battery from 10% to 80% in 21 minutes at a DC fast-charging station.
The vehicle also comes equipped with a standard NACS port, providing access to Tesla’s Supercharger network.
As the Neue Klasse lineup continues to expand, the BMW iX3 competes with vehicles including the Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric and the Audi Q6 e-tron.
The film appearance and upcoming U.S. launch place the BMW iX3 at the center of BMW’s latest product introduction as the automaker brings its next-generation electric vehicle platform to market.
