ABT RS Q8-LE 1000 has been unveiled as the final model in the German tuning company’s Anniversary Trilogy, celebrating ABT’s 130th anniversary. Limited to just 30 examples, the high-performance SUV features approximately 1,000 horsepower, extensive mechanical upgrades, and exclusive styling.
ABT Marks 130 Years With Anniversary Trilogy
German tuning company ABT is celebrating its 130th anniversary. Founded in 1896, the company began by producing horse-drawn carriages and horseshoes before entering the automotive industry after founder Johann Abt partnered with August Horch, the founder of Audi, in 1920.
ABT continues to maintain a close relationship with Audi. To commemorate the milestone, the company introduced its Anniversary Trilogy in three chapters, beginning with the RS 6-LE 800, followed by the RS 3-630, and concluding with the newly revealed RS Q8-LE 1000.
Approximately 1,000 Horsepower From ABT Power R
The Audi RS Q8 Performance serves as the foundation for the special edition. In factory form, its 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 produces 630 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, allowing the more than 5,000-pound performance crossover to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under 3.5 seconds.
ABT has significantly increased output with its Power R performance upgrade, bringing total power to about 1,000 horsepower. According to the company, the package includes a larger turbocharger, an optimized intercooler, upgraded engine internals, and a water/ethanol injection system, among other enhancements.
While ABT did not disclose a 0-to-60 mph time for the upgraded model, it lists a top speed of 199 mph.
Suspension and Carbon-Fiber Upgrades
To complement the added power, the RS Q8-LE 1000 receives ABT Body Control, which combines ABT Level Control with the company’s ABT eAWS adaptive suspension system developed specifically for the model.
The exterior also receives an extensive matte exposed carbon-fiber body kit. Updates include a front lip, revised air intake grilles, hood inserts, a taller rear spoiler, more aggressive diffusers, and additional aerodynamic components.
Exclusive RS Q8-LE 1000 badging appears inside and outside the vehicle, while the cabin receives bespoke interior details that distinguish it from the standard Audi RS lineup.
Production, Color, and Pricing
ABT will build only 30 examples of the RS Q8-LE 1000. The model is offered exclusively in dark green and rides on gold ABT forged wheels.
The performance package is priced at €165,000, or approximately $190,000, while installation adds another €20,000, or about $23,000. In Germany, a donor Audi RS Q8 starts at at least €160,000, just under $184,000, bringing the total cost of a completed build to roughly $400,000.
The RS Q8-LE 1000 concludes ABT’s three-model Anniversary Trilogy, commemorating the company’s 130-year history with its most powerful special edition of the series.
