The 2022 Genesis GV70 has become an appealing option in the used luxury SUV market after several years of depreciation lowered its average price to around $31,000. While pricing varies depending on trim level, mileage, condition, accident history, location, and equipment packages, buyers can now find a premium crossover with a distinctive interior at a price comparable to many mainstream compact SUVs.

Depreciation Has Lowered the Entry Price

Genesis introduced the GV70 as an all-new model in the United States for the 2022 model year. The entry-level GV70 2.5T originally carried a starting price of $41,000 before freight charges.

According to CarBuzz Marketplace, the average market value for a used 2022 GV70 is now around $31,000. Another nationwide pricing source estimates a clean-condition dealer retail price of just under $29,000 for a 2022 GV70 2.5T with typical mileage and no added options.

Actual prices can vary significantly based on mileage, vehicle condition, accident history, geographic location, and the factory package installed.

Genesis also offered the GV70 3.5T Sport, which CarBuzz Marketplace lists at slightly under $35,000. When new, the model started at $53,100 before freight, while the flagship 3.5T Sport Prestige began at $62,500 before destination charges.

Package selection remains especially important because Genesis offered the 2.5T in Standard, Select, Advanced, and Sport Prestige trims, while the 3.5T was available in Sport, Sport Advanced, and Sport Prestige configurations.

The Interior Remains the GV70’s Biggest Selling Point

From its launch, Genesis designed the GV70 to stand apart with a cabin featuring a distinct visual identity rather than relying solely on large displays and metallic trim.

The dashboard incorporates broad horizontal lines with an oval-shaped design surrounding the climate controls. Similar elliptical styling appears around the door handles and center console, creating a cohesive appearance throughout the cabin.
