Ferrari says its order book now extends through all of 2027, underscoring continued demand for the luxury automaker’s vehicles despite a decline in second-quarter shipments. The company reported stronger operating profit during the period, citing a favorable product mix and higher-than-expected demand for vehicle personalization.
Ferrari Reports Higher Profit Despite Lower Shipments
According to Ferrari’s second-quarter 2026 financial report, vehicle shipments declined 3.7% year over year to 3,366 units.
Despite the lower delivery volume, operating profit (EBIT) increased 9.5% to €605 million, or about $697 million at current exchange rates. Ferrari attributed the improvement to its product mix and stronger-than-expected personalization demand.
The company also said its current order book now covers all of 2027.
EMEA Remains Ferrari’s Largest Market
The Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region accounted for 55% of Ferrari’s shipments during the second quarter of 2026.

New Models Enter as Others Leave the Lineup
Ferrari said the 296 GTS, Roma Spider, SF90 XX, and SF90 XX Spider are being phased out.
At the same time, the company is introducing the Amalfi, 296 Speciale, 296 Speciale A, and the 849 Testarossa, described as the plug-in hybrid successor to the SF90 Stradale.
Ferrari did not specify which models account for the orders extending through 2027.
Ferrari EV Meets 2026 Sales Target
Ferrari’s first electric vehicle, the Luce, received criticism following its unveiling in May 2026, primarily because of its design.
Despite that reaction, Ferrari said the model reached its 2026 sales target within two months.
More Ferrari Models Planned for 2026
Ferrari plans to introduce five new models during 2026. So far, the company has revealed the Amalfi Spider, the Luce, and the 12Cilindri Manuale, which features a six-speed manual-by-wire transmission and a gated shifter.
With the current order book covering all of 2027, newly placed customer orders may not be delivered until 2028.
Updated Powertrain Strategy
Ferrari said it intends to take a measured approach to expanding its electrified lineup.
By 2030, the company expects its model range to consist of 40% internal combustion vehicles, 40% hybrid models, and 20% electric vehicles. That plan replaces an earlier strategy that allocated larger shares to electric vehicles and fewer to combustion-powered models.
Ferrari noted that the revised approach reflects a broader market shift that also led Lamborghini to replace its planned all-electric fourth model with a plug-in hybrid grand tourer.
With demand remaining strong enough to fill its production schedule through 2027, Ferrari continues to balance new model introductions, electrification, and its long-standing strategy of maintaining limited vehicle availability.
