The 2027 Lexus ES enters its second model year with only minor changes, including a small price increase and a major production shift. The ES 350h hybrid, ES 350e electric model and ES 500e electric model now cost $105 to $110 more, with all versions assembled in Japan.
2027 Lexus ES Prices Rise Slightly
The eighth-generation Lexus ES arrived for 2026 as a completely redesigned sedan, replacing the previous lineup’s simpler gas-and-hybrid choice with an electrified range. Buyers can now choose the ES 350h hybrid, ES 350e all-electric model or ES 500e all-electric model.
For 2027, Lexus is making few changes to the ES, but prices have increased slightly. The increase ranges from $105 to $110 depending on the trim, and the listed prices include delivery, processing and handling.

What the 2027 Lexus ES Offers
The ES 350h continues to use Toyota’s sixth-generation hybrid setup, pairing a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with electric motors for a combined 244 horsepower. Front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is available with a rear electric motor.
The front-wheel-drive ES 350h has an EPA-estimated 46 mpg combined. The all-wheel-drive version is rated at 44 mpg combined.
The electric ES models return with the same 74.7-kWh battery. The ES 350e uses a single front motor and has an EPA-rated range of up to 307 miles on a charge.
The dual-motor ES 500e produces 338 horsepower and is rated for 276 miles of range with its standard 19-inch wheels.
Across the lineup, Lexus continues to offer a 14-inch touchscreen, 12.3-inch driver display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Lexus Safety System+ 4.0. The ES 350h Premium+ also includes upgrades such as a 17-speaker, 1,800-watt Mark Levinson audio system.
2027 Lexus ES Is Now Made in Japan
One of the most significant changes for 2027 is where the Lexus ES is built. All versions of the sedan are now assembled at Toyota Motor Kyushu in Japan.
The previous-generation ES was built in Georgetown, Kentucky, from 2015 until earlier this year. Production ended after 438,133 units were built.
Lexus ES Sales Fell in June 2026
The ES has also faced a difficult stretch in the U.S. market. In June 2026, sales fell 89.3% year over year to 331 units.
The decline came even as Lexus recorded its best June ever and electrified models continued to gain traction.
For 2027, the Lexus ES carries a modest price increase, moves production to Japan and retains much of the same formula introduced for 2026. The lineup continues to combine hybrid efficiency, electric driving range and luxury-sedan features across its ES 350h, ES 350e and ES 500e models.
